First Citizen of Rome
I have decided to mod this, I am hoping that several people do join this. I have used Bombshoo's original rules as the format, with his permission of course.
I will be editing in/out some stuff in the next few minutes, so if you could not post until I say so, I would be much pleased.
Here is the rules.
Brief History: Logan started with homes and farming lands, it eventually out grew the peacefull farming community of the region and businesses were established. This was followed by roads and avenues. Eventually the streets were wiped out as roads repaved Logan's way of life and buses dominated the pavements. Water pump were introduced and the population skyrocketed. Hopitals and police departments sprang up literally overnight and Logan became a city of 40,000 people in just 100 years. The first elementary school was brought in and saw a graduating class of 200 kids. This was followed by a new power plant and the contruction of an interstate through Logan. 50 years later saw a High school constructed, more police departments, and 1 more hospital, Logan also suffered their first fire, and the Logan City Firefighters fought bravely for their city. The blaze beat them but after building a second fire department the blaze was contained and beaten at the cost of 2 buildings, and the city's only water pump. Several years later, as the mayor decided to ride one of the local ambulances, the ambulance picked a man up for slipping on Lama Dung and brought him to the hospital, this man was a famous doctor and he was impressed by Logan's emergency services and rewarded us with the region's first disease center. It was a proud day for Logan a parade was scheduled and despite heavy rains, thousands attended.
Shortly afterwards the government awarded us with an University which we named, University of Logan. Ever since, business has boomed all around the city.
Logan's first airport was contructed at the request of local businessmen, the airport quickly outgrew Logan and the city decided to contruct a larger one, business saw alot of money pouring in around the airports and the land suddenly became a virtual gold mine. Logan's first bus system was established by running buses all over town, when it only stayed in the oldest part of Logan. Logan's first nuclear power plant was constructed, and was met by little resistance from the local enviromentalists. Despite the fact that many of Logan's residents now know about the buses, the freeways and major highways are still clogged, the city council is debating over whether we should build a subway system, monorail system or rail system.... the debate still rages.
Players: Players will pick a company to run. I am not putting any limit on players for now, but each player requires a lot of information and work on my part. If your not enjoying the NES (very possible since this is fairly experimental) feel free to leave , but please please don’t join and then forget about it or completely half ass it. If you do feel the need to quit, I’d appreciate you selling off your company or trying to find someone else to take the helm before quitting so its one less NPC for me to deal with
Stories: Like most NESes, stories are not needed, but very encouraged. I understand the business world isn’t the easiest or most interesting thing to write about so hopefully there will be a good deal of creativity here. (Maybe biographies of some of your executives, detailed plans of current projects, news stories…
Orders: I’m dealing with a lot of numbers and like a real economy, many businesses will rely on another in some way. Keeping orders in a very orderly (no pun intended) format and getting them in a timely fashion are very important to this NES. If your orders don’t effect anyone else’s, I’ll probably be more willing to accept them late though.
Updates: Updates will be one fiscal month. I’ll try to get about one update done a week provided I’m not super busy and it isn’t an exceptionally eventful update.

Notes:
Money: In this game, Money is still EP, The base unit is 1 EP. Expect to be working with high numbers.
Company Name: Whatever you want within reason.
Industry Type: Here you choose one of several different types of industries. They include (but are not limited too, provided you give me a good argument as to what your industry is and its plausibility) Manufacturing, Retail, Technology/Research, Construction, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Services, Communications, and Media. You have to choose one to start, but as you grow, you can extend your reach into other areas.
Products: What your company sells. You can eventually have hundreds of them, but to start out, pick one or two related items. It can be something concrete such as clothing, or a more abstract service such as Insurance. Products have different levels of quality (based on a 1-10 number) depending on how much you invest into making them.
Key People: Your CEO, your president, spokesperson, their family, their pet dog, whatever. This is pretty abstract and for you to have fun with. The only thing I require you to have is a CEO so I know who to talk about in updates or so other players know who to address.
Slogan: For you to have fun with. Not required, but a really good one might a bonus from advertising.
Income: Total money your company makes in the month.
Employees: Employees are your workforce. Without them, your company doesn’t function. But they have needs! Paying them too low of wages or overworking them can cause them to form Unions and strike.
Wages: 1 EP is below minimum wage. 2 EP is minimum wage. 3 is above minimum wage. 4 and higher is well paid.
Utilities: This is power and water. You pay whatever your being charged. If you’re a power or water company, you get these for free. You lose 50% efficiency for each one of these your missing, so if you don’t pay for either, you don’t function.
Taxes: Large companies pay more in taxes, certain industries also pay more in taxes particularly if they pollute. You can spend EP to send lobbyist to City Council to try and reduce taxes on your industry.
Total Expenses: Money you have spent in one fiscal month. At first this may be close to bankruptcy.
NPCS: I will be starting out the game with a few NPCS in some of the major industries to help get things started. Many of these companies will be needed to help advance your company at the start, particularly construction and energy companies. These companies are also for a large part poorly managed, and as your business becomes stronger, they will diminish in importance. At the start of the game however, they will have many deals worked out with what will probably be your biggest customer in the game, a very important NPC. The Government.
The Government: The government taxes your companies, and for that you’ll hate them! They will also contract your company for various things and pay big bucks, and for that you’ll love them! Also say you think the city could use a new stadium, but they can’t afford it. You can come to the city and make an offer that you’ll help pay on the condition that they you gain advertising space in the new venue. As you work for the government more and more, you’ll start to gain favor and be looked to for future projects. The government will start out basically controlled by the various NPC companies, and if want their attention your going to have to pay for lobbyist to go to City Hall and make a case for why they should choose you over the “other guy”. Trust busting and anti-monopoly laws will only come into play if a company gets so large its impeding progress of the game. (Like one person owning literally all of the land.)
The Map: The map of for this game will be a region I will create in Sim City 4. It will have most of the roads laid out, plus a few houses and other businesses.
Buildings: They provide the home for you company, without buildings your financial geniuses would have no way to store your income/expenses data and employees would have no place to pick up their paychecks. Every company will start with at least one. More can be purchased, PM mod for asking price, when asking be sure to use this format:
Company name: (who is making the purchase)
District company is in.
District you are buying building in.
How tall building will be.
Proximity to airports or interest locations: I.E Airports, schools, ball parks, etc...

I will be editing in/out some stuff in the next few minutes, so if you could not post until I say so, I would be much pleased.
