Welcome to BirdNES 2 "The Forge of Empires".​

This thread is the general discussison thread for this game. There are three other threads where the actual game is being played: one thread for each cradle of civilization. The cradles are called the Animas Valley; the Manipur Coast and the Manonash. Posts specific to a cradle are found in that thread and general game questions are answered in this thread.

I will post announcements related to all three cradles in this thread. It will also be a place for general discussions about the game, rules, updates, questions etc.

I do not know yet. I have things planned, but until I get through the first turn I am leaving myself lots of options. I have an NPC of sorts in the Animas Valley, but that nation is not available for player control.

As nations grow and weak nations disappear (ie the player count drops a bit) then I can see NPCs appearing that could be taken over. Or if nations here get establsihed and much expanded, I could start another cradle. There are lots of possibilities.

With clear goals and a well defined spending list, it is pretty easy to work with short orders. Thank you Alex.

My pleasure, but I'll like to note I crammed all of the details I just adore into the Time line section so you may want to hold off on your thanks ;)
 
So what was with all the talk about Bird's daughter? If the guy (most likely approaching or already 40 or above) didn't have it bad enough just being around us. :p

I'll be happy to take up the point with you Symphony, however, our debate won't change either of our opinions, and will spam a thread.

But if you do wish to discuss the nature of NESing again, I'll be in While we Wait... :)
 
Bird, how exactly would you descibe the island chain in the Manonash? I know how you commented on the fauna and weather, but would you descibe them as peak-ish, or more of a gentle landscape?

The islands are rugged and mountainous (but too high mountains) and as you move south from the temperate rainforest north, they get dryer and dryer.
