Stephan Hawking is a great but calling him idol is quite nerd

I appreciate what he has done to science, but his theory of black holes both existing and not existing seems quite weird.

Your forgetting the appearance on The Simpsons and Futurama.

I list that as an accomplishment.

You would list him being animated on Simpsons as an accomplishment, but not him playing Poker with Einstein & Data (can't remember the fourth) on Star Trek? ;P

And the fact that Black Holes emit radiation isn't completely Hawking. Bekenstein first proposed the idea, but it was Hawking who developed the mathematical framework to make it seem completely plausible.

But yes, Hawking has done some incredibly decent work, and put out some fantastic books for ley-people.

He's a bit overrated.

I walked pass him once at university (it's preeetty hard not to recognize him you know), and adding to his other accomplishments is having a sweet ride (large shiny black van with green stripes) and a bevy of attractive women looking after him - truly a great scientist .
