Faction: Warlords of Martian Fields
The Seven Warlords of the Martian Fields were all proud warriors and leaders of men. They did not watch the boiling grub with the complaining village people, they did not pray and sacrifice goose all day, they did not sit and ponder about algebra and their existence all day. However, every single day they trained, long marches, long dashes of running, they sharpened their arms, donned their pelts around their limbs for protection and they painted warpaint in their angered faces. They had sworn an oath of fealty to the Philosopher King of the Triad Legion, their despot and their law was their oath to the Triad King and a short and untimely death for his opponents. They worked as hunters and warriors, expecting the tribal council to provide them with corn, fruit and berries, the Church of Giruvegan with blessings and the PHilosophers Legion with a deeper purpose. The way of living was simple, every man and family for himself, and the pact with the spirits and the gods was the only one worth mentioning.
Their goal was now to help the Legion carve out a solid state within the first two millenniums ahead..
The warlords embraced the coming of a new era, with dynasties, slaves to carry their siege equipment and build roads and bridges, religion to put iron into a mans soul and a bright new era of hardened and free men to come. However, was it one thing the Warlords loathed, was to be divided into castes, as they much preferred the present clannish ways, and to keep their proud and militant clan as one.
Enrollment
Warriors may decide to join the Warlord Faction if they are not members or intend to become members of another faction within the term. Each Member of the Warlord Faction must be in the Census of our nation in order to sign, and each member will sign up as a member in the "Warlord Faction Sign Up thread, with a preference for their land, their military unit, their distinguishing service and what they want to name their named landmark.

Warlord is to be chosen by the Faction by direct election within the Faction on the basis of having the best military skills for the nation.
Warlord is now Warlord NZL.
The Warlord will be in charge of all military and foreign affairs, as well as ruling the country and the Court itself, which also called the "Old Cabal of the Seven Flaming Owls".
The Warlord will appoint a High Shaman, who will be the supreme leader in terms of religion, law and culture.
The Warlord will appoint a Steward, who will be the supreme authority in ways to expand the economic base and the treasury of the nation and administer the regional planning.
The Warlord will appoint a Grand Master, who will be in charge of all city building, city planning (Grand Master also mayor in capital city), science and building wonders. The Imhotep of our proud nation so to speak.
The Warlord will appoint a Master of the Hunt, who will be in charge of all expeditions throughout the continent at hand.
Warlord, High Shaman, Steward, Grand Master, Chronicler of the Land and Master of the Hunt represents the "Old Cabal of Five", which is the Faction Shadow Government.
The Warlords are to represent the military offensive arm of the Philosophers Legion, to whom we have sworn an oath of fealty.

Faction Member Privileges:
Ownership and Land
Each Faction Member will as a reward for their loyalty, be awarded 2 tiles of land each around the faction capital (2nd or 3rd city), these will be given by Warlord NZL, and the remainder kept by the Warlord himself.
Independence
Each Faction Member will be granted the full autonomy over their military unit, to be named after themselves and to be inherited throughout all ages to their descendants.
Titles
Each Faction Member will be given a title relevant to their Faction function, a title passable to their descendants.
Honors
Each Faction Member will be given the right to name a landmark after themselves, to be decided in the Faction.
Opportunity to Distinguish Oneself
Each Faction member may serve in the way they see as the best in order to distinguish themselves. They can serve under :
No Faction member should interfere with another warriors activity at a separate location (voting rights restricted to physical presence, you must be with the Master of the Hunt to vote over where to send the scout, you must be with the Warlord to help direct the armies, you must be with the Steward to help decide on the use of the land and the resources and you must be with the Grand Master in order to promote Wonder builds, research and city planning. Finally, you must also be with the High Shaman in order to decide on religious, spiritual and cultural matters, as well as writing religious scriptures.
