9 different Religious Buildings from different cultures.

templepackpreview_0B8.jpg

The first 6 converted from Google 3D Warehouse. The others made using models/textures from Google 3D for refrence. There are lots of good models there. This pack is to promote the use of my Tutorial to Convert Buildings from Skethup and encurage people to to try it. Most the buildings and all textures were converted/created using the shown method.

Each building has a 256" main texture and a 64" shadow (using some rendered and some Civ4 shadow textures). Polycounts: Golden Pavilion 542 / Temple of Heaven 569 / Hedvig Elenora Church 350 / St. Gregory Church 394 / Horus Temple 243 / Lavra Tower 368 / Pantheon 468 / Wittenberg Church 386 / Classical Temple 198

Models have a similar scale to the Civ4 Pyramid (i tested using the pyramids art-define), so similar scaling could be good point to start.
<fScale>3.03</fScale>
<fInterfaceScale>0.36</fInterfaceScale>

The Classical Temple i made without a certain reference in mind using "spare parts" and textures left over from the Pantheon.

I remapped all textures, reduced the polycounts (heavily on some of the models) to make them suitable for the game.

What I can say? Good like expected. I still did not get the chance to work on some models yet. Good work. You know my gigantic list if you feel like helping on some of them, but you have done way more than I expected regardless. Thank you very much again.

@Johny - i made the Golden Pavilion more golden compared to the previous version - From your name - Zen-Shrine - i completely missed, that it was the Golden Pavilion.

Temple of Horus will be a nice addition in TAM ;)
Thanks :goodjob:

Added 3 mode buildings: The Pantheon, The All Saints Church in Wittenberg (where Martin Luther posted his thesis to "start" the reformation) and a genreic Greco-Roman style Temple.

The buildings are added to the original pack - download link in the first post.

This is - at least for now - the final version of the pack. There are unfinished Leaderheads waiting for me :mischief:

Nice conversions!

Generally speaking i assume 150~300 to be a good target for "mass production" buildings (The ones i looked at for measure are: Granary 314 / Library 322 / Courthouse 253 / Forge 240 / Market 322). So some of these are a bit high, but should be still safe for usage. They are all in line and certainly good for Wonders/Shrines/Cathedrals - the polycounts of many stock wonders in the game exceed 600. (Notre Dame 618 / Shwedagon Paya 960 / Oxford 737 - just to name a few...)

The game uses 128" / 64" for Diffuse / Shadow on most buildings (Some wonders and some BTS unque buildings do use 256"/128" as well). I went with 256" / 64" for all buildings.
I assume this to be safe, as the hardware advanced somewhat, since Civ4 was originally made. But if you really want, you can scale the textures down - scaling down is allways easier than adding detail.
