Mercenaries' Stronghold Small Wonder

This is a Mercenaries' Stronghold that I made for the Final Fantasy mod... Basically, it acts as a Pentagon for Neutral civs, in addition to generating powerful Mercenary Armies every 15 turns.

Thanks... It's actually a conversion from Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (I've had that game since 1999, and I still play it)... There have been other conversions of this very castle, but they either had no Wonder Splash, bland ones, or ones that looked nothing like the icons. My solution was to fire up the scenario editor, and add some eye-candy around the central castle and pretty it up a bit, and use that as the splash. I didn't like the earlier Pedia Icon image conversions that were done, so I made my own.... I was able to get fairly close to Civ III Grass using the AoK Dirt 3 terrain type.

I was going to say, "Man, that castle and those tents look incredibly similar to those in AoK...".

Hmm, that gives me some ideas about using Age of Empire buildings for some of my work. That game does have nice buildings, and nice units too. Need to get a little more used to editing the game first, before I start adding new buildings though. Nice castle, and I like the idea of autocreating Mercenary Armies.
 
I knew I recoqnized. Your conversion does it much more justice then the other one.
 
As have I although I have not played it in quite some time. Also Age of Empires II The Conquerors.

Likewise. Age of Mythology with the Titans expansion too.

I can do you guys one better: I just got done playing a gruelling 3-hour game on the latest version of one of my custom random maps... A random map that, I'm proud to say is Age of Kings Heaven's top-rated custom Random Map Script! :D

I made a variant where all players start with random extra buildings (either 5 houses, a barracks, a blacksmith, a market or a monastary).

I've also got a few other ideas for a completely new random map script floating around in my head, but they'll have to wait until after I update the old files of mine....
