This map was originally by vladstrutzu and then edited for BTS by Tacy in this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=234938; if it wasn't for these people this map wouldn't exist.
I decided to edit it myself, moving any start points which were 1 tile away from the coast, and moving start points that were innaccurate (e.g. Istanbul). I've also altered resource locations for both realism and gameplay, and tried to ensure that the map is as normal as possible (i.e. coast instead of ocean tiles next to land tiles) while being unable to travel between the new and old worlds without caravels. There are two versions of the map:
MunchWorldBTS_18 is an 18-player map like the original, but with the Arabs instead of the Babylonians. All civs are 'old world': Alexander, Asoka, Augustus, Bismarck, Cyrus, Elizabeth, Genghis, Saladin, Hannibal, Isabella, Louis, Mehmed, Qin, Ramesses, Ragnar, Shaka, Stalin, Tokugawa. This version has 'choose religions', 'city flipping after conquest', and 'raging barbarians' as default, but you can change these and all other options if you choose to play Custom Scenario. All victory conditions are enabled except time.
MunchWorldBTS_12 is a 12-player version with 8 old world and 4 new world civs, so there's a bit more room for expansion. The leaders are Julius, Pericles, Ragnar, Ramesses, Cyrus, Asoka, Genghis, Qin, Sitting Bull, Montezuma, Pacal, Huayna Capac. The options and victories are the same as the 18-player version except 'choose religions' is off. Beware barbarians (see picture)!
