Players give back addons

I thought i would make this thread to give other people the opportunity to post their personal addons that they'd like to share, though i currently am in the process of making my own addon that i'd like to share, the new 2.01 version i havent included since i just heard of it and am currently d/l it, i will then upload my final product after i incorporate the patch. and who knows, Zap might want to expand on your idea and put it in the normal game :)
 
Good to see that others are starting to make addons. With modular loading it's not that difficult to make them - just needs some basic knowledge about xml files and how modules work. :)
 
thanx for the support, i have now finished including the 2.01 patch with my addon, but it's only for Revolutions since thats the one i play most. some of the sounds of my personal units i added may be cheesy, but thats the best i can do w/out making new sounds. ;) My addon is only in the early stages and is no where being completed yet, but i said why not share what i have so far?

My addon so far has the Nuclear Arsenal Mod included in it, so for the people who wanted more in-depth nuclear weaponry, i have included it here... just ignore the units i added personally. :lol:

Installation:
1)copy/paste a new RoM file (must be v2.01)in the BtS/Mods folder, call it "Rise of Man 2.01 Revolutions By Civ Fuehrer" (without the "")

2)delete the Python folder

3)extract Rise of Man 2.01 Revolutions By Civ Fuehrer from the ZIP to BtS/Mods folder

4)allow all copy/replace

5)startup Civ4 BtS -> Advanced -> Load a Mod -> Rise of Man 2.01 Revolutions By Civ Fuehrer

6)have fun :)
 
Does your revolutions addon have the same problems the other one has with multiplayer? ( all players getting the rev popups even if they dont own the city, etc)
 
i'm not sure, i havent tried it on Multi, but feel free to check, i think it most likely will since i didnt upgrade the Rev mod, i only added to it. :rolleyes:
 
Do you have any idea how to set it up so it won't do what I just described in Multi? (make the popups only appear for players that actually own the cities, etc)

You'll have to talk to Kalimakhus about that, i'm using his Rev mod, but adding my own buildings/units/etc.

Thanks bud, just FYI i didnt change the Python from Kalimakhus' Rev, just the name, so they might be compatible, and i gave him the credit if you care to read the CivFuehrer Readme in the ZIP

My next version will include the techs: Theory of Spacetime Continuum, Time Dilution, Alternative Fuels/Propulsion, Photon Drive, Casimir Effect, Exotic Matter, Wormhole Creation/Stabilization, Portals :p , and others i have not thought of that are theoretically possible. Some buildings are: Fusion Plants, Cold Fusion Generators(they obsolete mostly all other plant type buildings before modern/future eras), portals. I'll have special units that can only use the portal(its like an airdrop with unlimited distance). unit line extension on hovercraft and more.
If you have any ideas that you'd like to see added in future versions, please tell me.
