OCC game question
I'm currently playing a vanilla OCC game as Peter of Russia, small/pangaea vs. Qin Shui Huang, Cyrus, Mansa, and Isabella (I think that's it). I'm running a course of bloody nasty across my world, having already wiped out China and am near to crossing out Spain as well. Persia is next.
However, I have noticed that Mansa has built a city on a single tile island just of the SW coast. My lone city is landlocked. Is there any way I can win this game, or am I doomed to have the supercontinent to my self, while Mansa sits on his stupid one-tile island, for the rest of all eternity while I grind out a Space Race victory? Because I wanted to end this quickly through conquest or donination.

Then, from where the sun now stands, Mansa Musa shall henceforth be my enemy. He shall pay dearly in all games further played, and shall be Public Enemy No.1, only to be surpassed by that Terrible Abomination in the Eyes of all that is Good and Pure that is known as Hyaena Catapult, I mean, Huayna Capac.

Me too
. Monty just DOW'd me in my game. However I have a couple of religious buddies that I can bribe into war against him. His cities are still defended by archers .As for your game, it might be possible to take most of Mansa's cities (to weaken him), bribe someone into war with him and hope that they raze the island city instead of capturing it. IMHO coastal starts are better than inland on OCC - they give you more options (eg. coastal wonders for Great Merchant points, sneak attack from the sea). If not on Pangaea or another land map a coastal start is essential. |
