Here we follow our wonderous leader das, into the unknown and certain doom. Fire under our feet and only a wagon to our name. Can we possibly succeed or is this another adventure into the afterlife?

Welcome to DwarfNES V: Godlyclub of Holy Imperial Brilliances, we will be building things and doing it proper, slaves to the underground we will strike the Earth!

We have arrived, not much to our name and fire imps laughing around us, soon we may be in charred shape, but we do not fear, das is here.

Snatching first post.

Great to see yet another DwarfNES unfold. Don't die on me this time though, I have plenty of surplus of time to look at spots and weird symbols!

The tidy '.'s hurt my eyes! Where are the commas, apostrophes, and the weird backward commas? Anyways, I wish your fort a happy life and hope that you don't accidentally flood your fort with lava and suffer a fiery death, or that you flood it with water in the attempt to stop lava, only to succeed and then drown in the water... that's usually how my forts end.

Das ordered the digging of a main shaft, community he says "Is the key to perfection." Perhaps the reason we sleep in group rooms and he has a master room being dug. In the main shaft we found copper, a good sign for the future of the fortress and providing us the materials needed to make weapons and armor.

The beds are in small grouped rooms, we all question the reason for this, as das did order a massive room be dug only for us to be put in small pantry's as it seems.

The farms are coming along nicely, my handy work is always nice, soon we can open a brewery and supplement out dwindling supplies.

Our food supply room, large and mostly empty for now, soon we plan to change this and will indeed need to for immigrant.

Thlayli, the blacksmith, made himself a makeshift forge with a wall to keep the intense heats from the magma lake back, and even though we try to put it out of our minds, to keep the fire imps back.

You have my permission anyway; I've been getting curious about this game lately.

I'm aiming to make this fortress very communist, including wood and leather weapons and armor, and a giant red star or maple leaf. :p

Do people actually have any control whatsoever over the dwarf to their name? If so, can I join?

Well there isn't much you can do other than watch, but building suggestions, exception being rooms or tombs for peasants, are allowed. Once the fortress is fairly smooth running massive constructions can take place.

Das working in his office for the good of his people.

With the abundance of lava, building a giant mold and then filling each layer first with lava, then with water (and so over and over again) to create a mineable obsidian tower might be cool. What are the notable features of the area?

Well the land is flat and I lack flowing water, only a few ponds unless I get lucky and find an underground river.

A maple leaf with a golden star in the middle.

I'll join.

I vote for some armorsmithing as soon as possible so we can go kill those dang imps.

As mission one, that is.

 I never learned to speak pirate :p

Lucky, do the dwarves actually feast in the grand dining room, or do they come and go, eating, when they feel like it? I remember Dungeon Keeper fx where it was impossible to keep all of your creatures happy as there was needs for 60 creatures or so, and none of them wanted to eat at the same time. So you had no surplus for extrafeeding them or anything.

Well they tend to eat and drink in groups, and sleep in mass.
