Well, I forgot to vote for them, but the Cree should be in the game. Other than that, I voted for Inca, Maya, Aztecs, Zulu, Australia, Polynesia, Mali, Ethiopia, Kongo, Brazil, and the good ol' U.S. of A.

The support for Ethiopia is the great sensation here.

The support for Ethiopia is the great sensation here.
Well that is because of sevreal reasons.

1. They are amoung one of the oldest nations on this planet.
2. They have played a major role in the trade being in a natural hub.
3. Being able to fend off the Italian millitary and even being able for the African kingdom to have one in the first place, as of that time.

Mali
Yes.

Ethiopia
Yes, but call it Abyssinia.

Congo/Kongo
Yes.

Yoruba/Nigeria
Maybe, don't know enough about them.

Bushmen/Khoisan
I don't think they created any large chiefdoms or empires, so no.

Zulu
Yes.

South Africa
No.

Australia
No, and I'm Australian.

Indigenous Australians/Aborigines
See above. They never created any large chiefdoms or empires.

Maori
Yes, but low priority. Better to include them as Polynesia, but I wouldn't mind if they weren't.

Polynesia
Yes.

Canada
No, they haven't done enough to be included.

United States of America
Yes, but I definitely think most give them too much priority.

Sioux
Yes.

Iroquois
Yes.

Cherokee
Maybe, but low priority.

Navajo
Maybe, but low priority.

Aztecs
Yes.

Mexico
No.

Maya
Yes.

Colombia/Gran Colombia
Very short-lived, so no.

Inca
Yes.

Brazil
No, they haven't done enough yet.

Argentina
See Brazil, Mexico and Canada.

Other, please specify
Inuit - No
Zapotecs - Maybe, low priority.
Olmecs - Maybe, low priority.
Andeans civs other than Inca - Maybe, low priority.

Polynesians, Maori, Aboriginees Australia, and New Zealand (in that order of preference). Maybe some of the civilizations of the Indies as well. Just look at how much area on the map is always just empty. I'm sick of so much of the world being empty space.

Take into account that the Polynesians conquered (literally, metaphorically) the Pacific Ocean. Its HUGE you know. Take into account the Maori, 500-700 years before Europeans, and exist strong today. They overturned notions of racial and technological superiority when they defeated English colonists time and time again. Civilization has a strong 'what if' theme running through it, the Aboriginees are probably the oldest 'civilization', What if they started building cities and conquering?

From Sub-Saharan Africa:

I choose:
Zulu - Shaka it's a VIP on History (VIPH)
Ethiopia - I enjoy to paly him them in civ4
South Africa - Nelson Manela, it's for me one of the VIP on the 20th century History.

To consider:
Mali

From Oceania:

To consider:
Maori

From the "New World" - Americas:

I choose:

USA - Let us be honest: they have their fingerprint in World History.
Sioux - Sitting Bull, for a VIPH
Aztecs - We love Monty!!! it's fact of Civfanatics nature... :lol:
Inca - OK
Maya - OK
The following nations, for me, has a historic importance as the USA:
Brazil
Argentina
Gran Colombia

To consider:
Iroquois
Cuba

Yes for the Polynesians, but the Aborigines wold be quite silly.

I agree that the Asia-Pacific region is very under-represented.

Something I hate about earth maps on bts is you can't pick what civ's that go in I would like that option (if it is an option sorry for saying it then?).
As for the poll I thought all the nations in it already deseve another go. I also think polynesia, and maybe spliting the native americans (not aztecs or mayans etc) into groups maybe. I also like the idea of adding cuba but it's a long shot.BTW can I have links for all the other posts like this.

Any Civ that has already been in the game, plus Australia (which could encompass Polynesia since Polynesia is as silly as having the Native Americans as a Civ...)

Africa
Necessary: Zulu, Abyssinia, Songhai (or Mali);
Suggested: South Africa (with boer flavor), Mali, Congo;

Pacific
Necessary: none;
Suggested: Australia, Polynesia (including Maori);

Americas
Necessary: Inca, Maya, Aztecs, Native Americans, United States;
Suggested: Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Great Colombia, split Native Americans in Apache, Sioux, Cherokee, Iroquois;

I'd say the Canadians should be in. Yes, we started off as a colony of British and French, but hey, since Civ 4 has colonies, why shouldn't we be in? Best economy not already in the game. Unique building: either CANDU reactor, or CanadArm. Unique unit could be either be something like a more advanced explorer-type unit, some sort of "peacekeeper" unit, or maybe even the Avro Arrow (even if it was never used).
