next model the Skjold class

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skjold_class_patrol_boat

the model has 1307 vertices, 820 triangles, a 256 skin and a 128 gloss
there is only a fx version
link to included animation (changed stealth_destroyer animation)
for pics the xml entries of the stealth destroyer were used

Dl: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=9808

used the making of to make for a tutorial:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=279548

Edit: Please make a copy of the nif with removed "_fx" in the folder of the unit (or rename the nif), than the unit animation will work
(there should be one file called 'Stealth_Destroyer.nif' and this should be a copy of or the included nif)

Ciao

This looks really great The_Coyote, nice model :goodjob:. May I ask what would be good to use it for? Maybe a flavor stealth destroyer? Anyways, great work and keep it up :D
Hide out at the coast and kill bigger ships and planes :D

Or as flavor "stealth destroyer"

How about the Visby and Hamina class they would be fun to have

It would be just wrong to have a patrol boat as "Stealth Transport"

By the way nice ship

Thanks :)

flavour stealth destroyer could be one use, a new modern ship class also (very fast but bound to the coast areas) or a kind of naval intercepter (base this unit in a costal city and with a certain probabiltiy any enemy ship approaching your coast in a certain area will be intercepted). But i think the last would need "a little" SDK coding so i don´t expect to see it

the unit is good.a clever thought.moretheless,it opens horizons for creating a ww2 torpedo boat-if reskined widely.

I second that. They are really cool ships and that way we would get some flavor in the stealth destroyers for different civs. Maybe also some different missile cruisers as well :)

If I remember correctly there is a flower-class corvette out there but I don't remember who made it. This could serve as a ww2 version of a coastal torpedo boat.

yes, there is a corvette, flower class, but the corvettes are much diferent in design and in mission tasks.corvettes in ww2 usually didnt carry torpedoes, their mission was against submarines(u-boats).
on the other hand, torpedo boats, specially in the pacific had targets big ships, throw torpedoes and dissapear.thats why i think a corvette cant represented as a torpedo boat.

But today´s corvettes are multiroll

Hamina has lots of firepower for its size and it can take out a target in a 200KM radius, 12 km for planes (not a corvette) Fast attack craft :D
1 ×  Bofors 57 mm/70 SAK Mk3
2 ×  12.7 mm machine guns (NSV)
8 ×  Umkhonto-IR SAM (Denel)
4 ×  RBS-15 Mk3 SSM (Saab)
1 ×  rail for depth charges or mines (Sea Mine 2000)

Visby
1 × 57 Mk3
8 × RBS15 Mk2 AShM
4 × 400 mm tubes for Type 43/45 torpedoes
Mines & Depth charges

On hold no money for it :D
16 × UMKHONTO-IR SAM missile

thanks for the pointing me to the problem, there is a wrong named (missing) file in the zip, the 'Stealth_Destroyer_fx.nif' should be named 'Stealth_Destroyer.nif' (or a copy with this name should be there), no idea how i could made this mistake not to include it. The missing interface you had is the "typical kfm reference file is missing" problem.

I´m wondering if you are the first having this problem  Again thanks for pointing me to the problem, edited also the first post with the 'instructions'.

Great, thanks! You're really quick with quality units and corrections! :goodjob:

thanks for such an awesome ship.

Im sure at some point worl2009 can make use of it.
