Continuing a line of saturday at noon turnchat, I'd like to present:

Hatsheput's last turns

Hopefully featuring: The death of a monarch, the birth of a new world power, bombardments, elephant raids, the birth of a class of knights that'll shape the way our country looks, the Edorai Samurai (rhyme intended), bigger, better and deadlier siege weaponry, and perhaps the last actions of a King-General

This show will be shown in world-wide theater on Saturday the Fifth of July, and will also be available through IRC at the #turnchat channel.

I'll be leaving for holiday on monday, and when I get back, the start of the university year will be rappidly approaching, so there's quite a decent chance that this'll be the last turnchat I'll play in a while.

There are a lot of resources and gold available for trade, we do not need to tolerate unhealthiness in any of our cities. We can also trade paper to Lincoln for everything he's got. Also since lincoln's days are now numbered I'd like to spread out our spy points so we can see the others demographics.
 
If Lincoln were to be destroyed what would we do about religion, saying ours would not fit in if we want some new allies.
 
Not much can be done about that yet. We have open borders with everyone so hopefully more widely adopted religions will spread our way. I don't usually find it worth while to convert other civs but sending a few missionaries abroad may be good after we deal with Lincoln.

1) I agree with trading. I think someone should have a look at trade opportunities, to see where the best deals are.

2) Paper for everything Lincoln has got. Everything as in Monotheism and Aesthetics? :yawn: I'd rather not pick up those cheap techs for the WFYABTA, and monotheism is pretty useless to us as I see us getting into Free Religion after a Babylonian war, with 3 religions (hinduism, islam, taoism) in our empire and to prevent problems.

3) Spread out, or focus on 1 (Gandhi, possibly)?
 
I think we should have a look at the overseas land before we decide who we will foucus our ep on.

About EP, I'm up for spreading them out because it doesn't seem like we'll be participating in wartime espionage w/ Babylon anyway.

One more resource is all we need to end unhealthiness for now. Trades will also give us some diplo benefit and if turn players choose they can always keep an eye open for opportunities to renegotiate deals for more gold (BTW I would make all those Mayan trades as separate deals for this eventuality).

I think it might also prevent the &#8216;have nots&#8217; from requesting our extra resources as gifts.

If I recall correctly (it has been a while), these trades pick up all spare AI resources, and they also give us some cash :)
