RR1 -Bond no More !

Well, finally I decided to make one SG on my own

Well, as we are in summer and I don't want to make a 30 line ruleset, I decided to explore the 3.17 No Espionage option , that is said to be extremely cheesy

My idea is simple: a nice summer SG, just for fun, where we explore all the cheesy tricks that we can use with the no espionage option ticked ( mainly concerning using espionage slider ans spy specialists as culture generators and the fact that Spy GPP is seen as blank GPP ( it even overflows ) and the fact that you can use another type of specialist to decide the kind of GP you'll get ( assign a enginner over those spies to get a assured GE or a priest to get a GP ...... ) )

If you want to play this , I strongly reccomend you ( not mandatory ) that you use solver's patch or atleast his no espionage fix during it, because Firaxis decided that people playing no-Espionage games don't need to see the demographics

DM ettiquette rules applies. Type of map and civ to be discussed. Dificulty is Monarch.

Screenshots in spoiler below. Save Atached in end of post

I'm in. Maybe some rarely played leader/map? Stalin, Brennus, Mao, Wang, Sally come to mind. Dunno about map, maybe something like hub or so

I'll have a look at how that GP thingie works exactly first though...

GW is easy to get without IND - either work a 3H tile for some time or chop it out - shouldn't be a problem.

Please clarify

Which is it, apart from the mids?

Hmm I think ind is fine then. Stalin? He seems to get little love 'round here.

I think though that getting these on monarch is easy (but start dependent), a few chops can do wonders...

Requestin' a spot, and suggestin' Roosevelt (IND/ORG). IND and cheap courthouses. I assume a cultural vic would be what you're aiming for. The esp slider early... I can't really think of a use for that. Other thana very early culture slider that doesn't give happiness.

Culture would be nice, it's rarely persued too. Dunno about FDR, I'd prefer Louis, not only because it would be easier, but it's also a leader that gets rarely played. And this SG is about fun, right?

SGs are easily handled:
AA04 taking much time when playing (warring mostly), nice discussion otherwise
ICS04 died out. Someone start ICS05 (rolo, you haven't started one of these I think )
ungy03 is going slowly. Tricky game. Surrounded by protective AIs (QSH + SB) on immortal, fell back a bit, trying to fight our way out.
Qu01 going slowly too. Little discussion so no time-eater.
LK146 little discussion too. Playing 15 turns on epic doesn't take THAT much time.
BUG hunting is nearly over (I think), ruff got his CTD (), and no need to write reports.
TM-03 Just starting
RR1 dito

Just to give you a little overview

Now the issue of time - it's holidays now, no need to sleep much, can spend the time either gaming (well no offline civgames, only SGs), in the forums or otherwise. It'll become tricky probabely when I start my holiday job but that's still 2 weeks away

Welcome Quotey

A nice cultural vic would be a nice way of showing cheesy stuff in here. I like it... but not before Democracy. I want to see how cheesy is Sec Bureau and jails with this

Regarding wonders: What I wanted was:

GW
Mids
HG
Forge ( with eng hired )
Courthouse ( with spy hired )

in the same city. 12 GPP/turn for eng generation

Not that easy , but if you could pull it.....

I was thinking you had the HG in mind but wasn't sure. I don't see the point tbh. Cultural victories need culture -> GAs. GEs could "only" rush wonders - but we're IND, aren't we?

You can still bring a friend, Ad Hoc You're in.

A thing: map script? I'm inclined to pangea with natural shoreline. Thoughts?

P.S In spite of what I said before that I would like to get to Democracy ( just to show the cultural value of Sec bureaus ), that is not mandatory. Probably we can win the game far earlier

Save and screenshots added to the first post.

I see no possible reason to not settle in spot. Anyone disagrees?
