Leeds start off well, but then lose out. :(

S****horpe 1-2 Leeds :)
Chester 2-5 Leeds :D
Leeds 0-2 Oldham :(

I really really hope Chelsea don't do well this year, they just sum up whats wrong in football these days.

Mind you the key word in that phrase is hope, i suspect they may do rather well this year

And i hope that Liverpool get relegated, hope unfortunately isn't good enough...

I'll agree with you that Chelsea's owner is exactly what's wrong with football atm, but the players and fans :goodjob:

If you dont like Chelsea because of their money then ur a whiny little . .. .. .. .. .. i watched the sunderland liv game till about 75 mins and omg it was boring. the first 15 mins were good and i like keanes pitch resizing tactic but otherwise ......

All I'm saying is that i like the home grown talent idea better, like at West Ham and Villa. I remember that Chelsea used to be like this, but meh all the youngsters in the London area go to West Ham or Arsenal.

As much as i loathe Spurs, i'm sure Ramos will whip them into shape sharpish. I see them as doing an excellent UEFA Cup run with a EPL position around 5-7 in the end.

They simply have too much talent to do worse than that, and remember this is coming from a Chelsea fan.

Oh sorry does my opinion not count any more. And i bet i am not the only one on this forum. Yes i hate them for their money, i hate some of their players cause they are there just for the money. (Yes it's true with other clubs but especially true with Chelsea) If they had got their money through team success and good marketing like Man Utd then i would be fine with that. But the point is that one guy with buckets of cash as bought a semi successful team in the West End of London, bought the best players from England and around the world and wants to win everything and gets grumpy and sacks anyone who doesn't bring that to him.

And i have yet to see any youth players coming though their ranks, so they are hardly making an impact on the development of football in this country either.

My big worry is that we have Chelsea domination, not just of English competitions, but potentially European ones as well, and that quite frankly is not good for football.
I would much rather have a competitive league than one dominated by Liverpool, cause after a while surely it must get quite boring to win consistently.

I'm in the anti-Chelsea camp too. But I rather suspect that that will lessen if Scolari gets them playing attractive football. I mean, I still dislike the aspect of turning real life into a Championship Manager exercise which I think Abramovich is doing. But if they are good to watch, then I'd probably go from a strong dislike to a grudging & unwilling respect.

I agree entirely.

So the difference between Chelsea and teams like Manchester City. Liverpool and Manchester United (who all have foreign and rich owners who inject money into their teams) is?

Little hypocritical there folks.

I didn't want Liverpool sold to the two Americans, seems we could be paying for it now :(

And yes i don't like what the Glazers have done to Man U.

And the difference between all those three is that Chelsea have a guy with tons of money with almost unlimited purchasing power while other clubs are limited still by budgets. We are struggling to get 18 mil for Barry while Chelsea spend that kind of money on their weekly shopping.

So then you also actively hate Manchester Uniteds owners for what they are doing?

They certainly not doing what Chel$ki are doing. They are actually there to make a profit and to run a successful club. It seems that Chel$ki is just Roman's private club for his pleasure.
