A bit like the random event thread, just for fun. i searched the forum but couldnt find a thread like this surprisingly.

maybe ill mod some of the ideas when my thesis is over in 2 months or so. if i can figure out how it works, hehe.

Grand Colosseum
National Wonder
Hammers: 300
+1 great artist points/turn
Prereq: running slavery for 1000 years
effect: +3 happiness in city
effect: no more slave revolts in city.

Delta Works
World Wonder
Hammers: 550
+2 great engineer points/turn
prereq: replacable parts
effect: no more floodings (random event)
effect: +1 happiness in all coastal cities.

International Airport
National wonder
Hammers 800
+1 great merchant points/turn
prereq: 7 airports (normal sized map)
effect: airports +1 gold/turn
effect: 50% less chance of an aircraft crashing.

Channel Tunnel
World Wonder
Hammers 1000
+2 great merchant points/turn
Prereq: Railroads.
effect: you can link 2 cities 10 squares apart (normal sized map, 1 city must be the city that build the wonder) you can then " airlift" 3 units/turn between these cities as if they both had airports.

this thread got moved from the BTS forum for no apparant reason.

can i get a Pm from an admin or moderator with the reason why this thread is moved, and for instance the " what random events would you like to see added" was NOT moved?

makes little sence to me

Roman Colosseum: 1 free military instructor, -25% unhappiness from whipping, -25% war weariness (all the effects only impact the city with the colosseum)

Roman Pantheon: 25% minimum granted nationality in every city you conquest.

Abu Simbel: +20% espionage points in every city

Petra: in the city, +10% trade per each resource: silk, dye, spice, rice, ivory, incense

Trans-Syberian Railway: halves movement cost along friendly railroads.

Roman Colosseum: 1 free military instructor, -25% unhappiness from whipping, -25% war weariness (all the effects only impact the city with the colosseum)

The Colosseum should give -50% :whipped: unhappiness in every city, +2 GE points/turn, +8 :culture:/turn.

Random events is bts only wonders isent thats my guess.

CERN: 4 free scientists.

The Toriii Gates.: ???
The Agra Fort: -50% WW +10% Military Production +10 Culture. Availabe with Construction
Knight's Templar: Produce 5 Crusaders When DoW'd; Obsolete by Assembly Line (Actually this should be an easy mod as Crusaders are in CIV, Knight Templar should be easy to make.)

Duomo? The cathedral in Florence on the starting screen of BTS, yet not actually in the game.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa - boosts production in that city by 25%.

Great Zimbabwe - gives you extra gold for a long number of turns.

The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing - two resident Great Artists until Industrialism.

Delta works! I'm from Holland so I would love to see that :P

Just make the reward to immediately win the game with it, that would be realistic ;p

Channel tunnel-u won't have to build roads

You could have that one as a national wonder, built between an island city and a mainland city (or between two cities on different islands). One city would build the chunnel, but when finished, it would mean no ships needed to transport people back and forth.

Alternatively, the Oresund Bridge between Sweden and Denmark, which is a magnificent engineering feat indeed and has given the economy on both sides of the Sound a tremendous boost:

That would be esasier to show on the map than a tunnel. That's why I suggest it as an alternative.

Channel tunnel-u won't have to build roads

I think that's a wonder in RFC. It "connects" two cities that are at most ten spaces away and allows you to airlift a certian number of units (I think it was 10) each turn from one city to the other.

I think I saw a wonder that does this in Rhyes and Fall.

Isn't early emancipation kind of unfair? (giving every other civ 1 unhappiness)

How odd that I was thinking of something like that earluer today...... and I think it would be great, and worthwhile, though tonedc down in some way, like only -1:D.

Make it "Makes city costal; Allows movement through two adjacent tiles by naval units"
