I promised more images, well here is an image walkthrough of the Creature phase. It's not the whole phase yet, I got a long way to go. But this gives the idea. :)

You'll see at various points I've evolved my creature after finding more "bits", scoring enough DNA points, and mating. You can then edit the creature that comes out of the egg.

So, what determines how you get more brain power? Is it automatic?

Do you ever plan on becoming a Biped?

Do you ever plan on becoming a Biped?

My first game was a biped, my second was a quadraped with arms, this game just a quadraped. :)

I'm thinking my next game to be a centipede or something.

So, what determines how you get more brain power? Is it automatic?

Extra brain power does nothing. It just marks different goals through the phase.

It's the creature pieces and DNA that account for a better creature.

Correction - bigger brains give you a pretty good health bonus. :D

And looking at the screenshots, it seems to let you control more creatures in your pack.

Passing the goal mark allows you the extra health and mate slot. The brain does nothing. :)

But you also gain more health from creature bits, and extincting other creatures.

Oops double post, I was pleasantly surprised when it allowed me to do so, I was expecting it to say I need hands before going into tribal.

I have to get a new computer to play this game... the graphics on this computer are less than obsolete.

The game is jerky on all but low graphic settings.

I'm jealous.
