Heres a hypothetical situation, the devil (I know you don't believe in him, I said hypothetical!) comes to Earth and says "I will either kill your pet (cat, dog, rabbit, goldfish) or I will kill some random person somewhere on Earth, this person will not be anyone who you are acquianted with in any way."

If you had to choose one : Who would you choose?

BTW, I'd choose the random person, I love my cats very much!

Random human. Simple choice.

Goodbye, little kitty. Seriously, my cat gets on my nerves so much I would welcome this opportunity. I have had cats in the past where it would be a tough decision, though.

No brainer. Goodbye, kitty. I love my pets, and they are "family", but they are still just animals. Given the choice between killing an animal and killing a human, the animal dies. (Now, if I could convince him that the "random person" should be, say, Saddam, you end up with a different answer. ;) )

I have no animals, but I think if I had any (which would mean I'd like them) I would choose the random person as long as random doesn't include the possibility of someone I know and like.

When it comes to Moralities I usually suck.

But this time I choose the pet.

Maybe that is because I still treat my pet as a pet and not as a Human. Of course it will hurt when my pet dies, but it is just a pet after all.

I guess I score low on morality, I'd choose the random human. I wouldn't want to decide my bird would have to die.....
It would be some sort of ironic if that random person that gets killed is you.

If the devil visits everyone and everyone decides to let another person die........

I have chosen for my pet to die.

I've lost so many pets another one wouldn't matter... It would be ironic if the person I'll save will be a hamas terrorist that'll kill me...

I only have fish, so I would let them die.

Depends.

If it's a goldfish, then I'd rather see it die and not a human. A dog or a cat is a different matter.

Random person. I like my Dog. :D

I mean think about it. You love your pet, or you wouldn`t have it, right? So why care if someone you never met/will meet dies? And how do you know he/she doesn`t deserve it? Atleast i know that my dog does not deserve to die.

Do you believe a dog is more important than a human? Your dog is important to you, but I don't think he's important to you as much as your family members. Thought about the fact that the person you cause his death will leave after hum a family of people that'll be hurt?
