What does this mean?

Obviously, racial relations will improve (although I concede that there has already been a ton of progress in this direction).

For me, and probably for all the people for whom one reason they supported Barack Obama was his inspiring message of hope, it means that anyone can do anything. A half-black half-white person with the most power in the world. We cannot put our history behind us, but I believe that we can put some questions behind us.
P.S. I think my opinion is biased by the fact that I just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird\:).

I think he's written a very large cheque that will be difficult to cash. Though he may not live up to his hype, he'll still be a good President.

In any light, this is a historic occasion for obvious reasons.

Could mods merge my thread into this one. The title of this Obama wins thread is better then mine, lol.

The Man keeping down the proud vanilla people!

ChocolateUSA would be so much fun now...

Me too. I campaigned my backside off for Obama. ...... Still he can't dance like me

Pressure is on the French to vote in an Algerian president. lol

No, I refuse to acknowledge Obama as president. He won't be on my list, I only count 43 and 45.

Why, because you don't like him? He got elected. He's the funky president. What are you, a baby?

Don't they have a Slav in there at the moment?

They're workin on it :lol

Oh come on, that doesn't count. Sarkozy is white. Onus is on the French now to vote in a Algerian. Also, the Germans now have to vote in a Turk, lol.

I didn't vote for him, neither did my state.

I bet you were the same person who called blue states babies when they created the jesusland map.

I hate will.i.am. Off topic, but god do I hate him. Dippy idiot.

Obama's election means more than I'd like, but less than you think.
