Well, I have seen that this part of the forum has stopped to discuss about strategies and so I was bored and I was thinking about a new strategy to do. I haven't tried this as much I should have do but I think this would work, I will try this and I will fix the problems.

This civ isn't the best in my opinion, but I like their bonuses that are funny and very good if you CAN use them.

Start with: 25 gold
Ancient era: Units auto heal after they win a battle
Medieval era: Temples gives you 3 science
Industrial era: 1/2 price roads
Modern era: +50% gold production.

These bonuses are very cool for a civ, and this would be good for:

Domination, auto heal, 25 gold
Science, 3 science from temples
Cultural, you can build temples instead of libraries
Economic, you can build temples and libraries to get about 10-15 science a city (3*2 plus other bonuses as university, literacy and others), 1/2 price roads and +50% gold are very useful. Auto heal is good to defend

And again, their +3 science from temples is very good because it would be as a +3 science each city (not the same, but..). It improves culture, and it causes not so much to your science production, following this example:

You have 2 water tiles, a library would give you 8, the temple would give you 7 plus much culture. These bonuses are awesome if used as well, and another bonus, is from fundamentalism:

You lose the libraries effects if using this, with temples you would lose maybe only one science if you work on 2 water tiles.

How to start:

25 gold for the start, auto heal, these are very useful bonuses and you can decide your use, you can go for the free settler, you can do all things you want, but this is my strategy, so here it's how I would proceede :p

Put two workers on production, pass the turn, rush a warrior for 12, don't waste another warrior only to have another turn of advantage, and you will understand why; explore, pass the turn, rush a warrior. By now if you are lucky you should get another village, if not, you should get this the turn later. By 3900 you have your first warrior, 3800 second warrior, and by 3600 you should have the third maybe. But return some turns again and take a choice:

1) Build the army and go to an enemy capital, you can kill him fast having maybe veteran bonus, 4,5 attack and auto heal, most of enemies won't have many defences agains these. Don't go for the horsemen rush, if you aren't lucky this would mean losing in the first race, in the ancient era.

2) Research bronze working in 5 turns and build 2 archers if you are against some good rushers, you would need 12-13 turns from the start to do this. Grow and build start to expand as much as possible:

2 forests, 1 food, in 5 turns you have again 2 pop. Build 2 archers in 5 turns, move them ahead, grow in 5 turns, do this again. By doing this you would have a lot of cities, with defences and the enemies can't attack you so easy. Build an archer in the new city when you move these 2 archers.

Now you don't need a specific order to tech up, however try to follow this:

Bronze working
Pottery
Masonry
Irrigation
Ceremonial Burial
Writing
Literacy

So you should have 7 cities (if you build less than 5-6 cities you won't do so much against good players). After you have an archer army each city build temples in each city and after that libraries. You will tech up very fast, however, you could build in a city barracks before you finish your armies. If you have veteran armies and you build also new cities in a hill, you will have +100% bonus. If you have a hill next to your city, or cities, build offensive units and stay here waiting enemy units, so you can kill your only enemy fast, the catapults.

Rusher strategy:

Start rushing a warrior in the first turn for 20 gold. Research horseback riding (2 water tiles). Explore and get as many villages as possible with this one warrior. Rush horsemen and get gold to rush new horsemen. In about 10 turns from the start you should have your horsemen army. Use this to kill one enemy or two if possible. If you do this, follow this order that could help you very much, putting all workers on science (your horsemen can defend your cities, you should go straight for your enemy blocking the only way)

Pottery
Masonry
Irrigation
Ceremonial Burial
Writing
Literacy

Or if you want, go for literacy first and after that ceremonial. Build temples in every city and after these libraries, you would get +3 instead of +4 (most of the times) but you have a culture boost. Temples works using fundamentalism, so that's a good thing. After this you could continue your rush or follow the other strategy. Build archers armies in every city if possible and they won't kill you with ease

Now I think I don't have to tell you anymore, ask me what you want about this strategy, I don't know if I forgot anything.
