Ahah! Just what I've always wanted! THANK-YOU for a musketeer with a rapier. D'Artagnan, Porthos & Aramis here we come! :)

Very well designed and animated.:goodjob:

Sweet unit! Your going strong Imperator.

We should know by now you are being sarcastic, right, Oz? :hmm:

No, my bad, sort of. When he shoulders the weapon, the stock doesn't go to his shoulder, but the Attack A shows him handling the weapon correctly. So it's really just a one frame jump - either that, or a trick of the eye ...

Sorry to nitpick, imperator; regardless, I do stand by my praise

Best,

Oz

Sorry Mithadan but this is not the Musketeer like Portos, D'Artagnan e Aramis. You need a Royal Musketeer or Musquetaire du Roi.

Voilà:

I'm working to this unit and I hope that for next month it will be ready. ;)

The stock does go to the elbow.. it just doesn't show. :D

Actually, when comparing it to some of Sandris' units I found several units that (of Sandris) that seem to fall a little shorter in this area. Don't get me wrong, he did just fine on some of them and since I haven't d'loaded the great majority of his gunpowder units I have no idea how many units turned out there various ways. Here's what I found and am actually starting to wonder if it is a small bug...

Sandris' French Fusilier 1812 and this French Musketeer are on the right, three units from Sandris' Indian Rifleman pack on the left

The stock can be seen protruding on all the Indians while the two Frenchmen have it nicely tucked away. It may or may not be obvious enough to make anything of but upon examining the Indian's fortify storyboard it appears they were holding it nicely tucked just like the French before going in to the attack animation.

This plays into a slight hitch in-game (though it is played at a slightly higher speed so not quite so noticeable).

[edit] After checking his thread I found that he apparently did them over:
Does the new rifle shooting position look better ?

So I'm guessing he accidentally reuploaded the old animations..??

Whoops, that went a little ot. It all started out saying that your animation looks good Imperator! :) The talent of both these guys is nothing to sneeze at.

:crazyeye: Oh mama, now what am I going to do? Have two French musketeer units? Oh, the superfluousness of it all! :D
