We haven't had a 100K game for a while so let's put that right. The settings are:
* Mapsize: Large * Difficulty: Monarch * Condition: 100K Question is do you play Vanilla/PtW for the lower cultural points limit or conquests for the ToA? Good luck to all participants. Games due in by 15th February 2009

ToA is a difference, plus agri, plus SGL's for Pyramids, more effective specialists.
On the other hand, PTW has MGL's for Pyramids, and lower needed culture.

Have fun with this one, I couldn't care less for 100k games.

You can also whip in C3C but not in PTW, right?

You can if you get to Communism. For huge I think PTW has the edge but on large I'm saying Conquests has more goodies to make up for the 30k extra.

ooh - forgot about the feudalism whip help, too.
Well, maybe the right thing is to be babylon in PTW, research to education and switch from despotism to republic several times.

I think the trick in C3/PTW would be to use a Remote Palace - a monstrous remote palace. City spacing probably true CxxC, or a little closer, but not much so cities can grow to size 6+ and get WLTKD. It'll reduce waste by 50%.
Anyway, I think that way C3/PTW should have the edge and a date of 1000ADish might be feasible with a very good game. |

Based on the results of the previous 100K gauntlet, I would expect this one to have victories in the AD 800s.

I think I'm going to give PTW a go, for old times sake.

This gauntlet is now closed.
The winner and new champion: 100k! For the least popular win condition.
