Sending multiple PM's

Would it please be possible that a higher limit to the number of PM's we can send at once gets raised?

Of late i've been sending 20+ people the same PM.. It would be so much easier if I could do it in one go. :goodjob:

NESers, Forum Gamers, Moders? I think could all benefit from this, if not Civ populace at large!

Well obviously we don't want abusive posters sending out massive PM lists to a huge number of posters, however I would think that by setting a reasonable postcount/duration limit (say 300 posts and 90 days) would allow PM abuse instances to be dramatically lowered.

Another interesting option would be the ability to self organize user groups with certain members granted the ability to make mailing lists to all user group members.

Presumably there's a server-speed related reason for the PM limit; if increasing the limit would slow down the server then it's not worth it. Is it possible to find out how many PMs, on average, are being sent every hour? Minute? That would be interesting to know, regardless of whether it affects this discussion.

That would be interesting... the mailing list could act as a single poster, in the 'To:' field. Can this be done with vBulletin, though?

(Hopefully that would not end up like that 'member pages as social-networking profiles' idea that was proposed a while ago. Do not want.)

That would be useful. To be able to send a message to every member of the Mod Team without having to send multiple messages would be nice.

As someone that is trying to admin a PitBoss game it would be nice to also reduce the amount of time between PMs...trying to send everyone their individual civstats password and having to wait 30 seconds in between is a PITA.

I just don't think vBulletin is programmed to do this.
If you have to do this often, you could ask for these people's e-mailadresses?

I don't really use email any more.. moving all the game discussion to email rather than the forum would be pretty laborious.
