Events with Images?

Fall Farther already uses this, to some extent. Every time a hero, or great person is created, it brings up an event box with a picture, and some info about them.

Would be nice to see it extended to random events though.

IMHO this is simply a "must use" by the team. It would add a lot more to the story immersion.

Those actually aren't events, but popups similar to the when a player dies popups in FfH. Getting pictures in events was much harder, and it is very cool that it has been done.

Cool enough to start converting FfH2 events and chase pictures to go with them? ;)

Having sat through months of slow picture accrual for the Great Person Project, I would say that getting pics for each and every event would be fairly difficult. But could be somewhat worthwhile to do for a couple of events here and there as interesting oddities (for events which are significant enough. And for things like Meshabber's Riddle, would be interesting as a visual quiz or something :p)

Yeah, the Great Person Mod. Extended by pop-ups for heroes. Now, could you stop whining all around about FF? Even Magister wasn't so tiresome at the height of his In My Mod... period.

Unlike Magister's modmod, FF is available for download and play right now, and endorsed by Kael !

Besides, I didn't make it, so it's not as if I'm just promoting my own work.

The main complaint about magister's mod is that it's like a striptease, always waving shiny thigns in front of us, that we can't play with. That's not the case with FF, and I see no problem in mentioning it wherever it seems relevant, for example, in a thread about adding a feature to FFH, which FF (seemed to) already have. Like this one

But we already know about FF and in many cases we have chosen not to play it after tying it. I'm probably not the only one who doesn't want modmod that left the shores of hoarding numerous additions and headed into ocean of MOAR! long time ago.

There is really no need to mention it everywhere.

@Algeroth: I do not see how such an attack on WarKirby is justified. He said something that is happening, and gave the source of it.
FF is the modmod for FFH2 and it is considered to be FFH2's unofficial expansion. It is common to be mentioned as a reference to features already added or ideas already implemented.

You may know about FF, a lot of people don't. It is good to let people know there is such a mod.

All true, but sometimes seeing "FF fixed that" in response to every complaint about FfH2 and "FF does it better like this" in response to every suggestion for FfH2 gets a little old. Is there not a forum where someone interested in FF could go to read about it? Is this not the forum for FfH2? The occasional mention of FF would be one thing, but every thread... come on, just add "FF beats FfH2 in every way!" to your sig and be done with it.

The only thing that gets old are people who want to play forum police.

I don't care in which mod it is impemented, just the pictures need to be awesome :D

I would really enjoy some more images - which could always be turned off for the annoyed - like the 4 Horsemen's entrance, a capitol's razing, a hero's death...

As a certain individual already got flamed for mentioning, FF already has great people and heroes with images! Yeah, FF is that cool.

Events would definitely be spiced up with a visual representation.

Events with images would be nice. Little event dont need it though, but major ones should have it.
I do have to agree with Algeroth slightly, I tried FF, but there was way to much stuff in it, it is much more complex with all of the different types of weapon/armour/arrows/stuff. I'm not bashing it, it is excellent, but it seems to be more of a 'blob mod' seeing how much stuff they can shove in.

It wasn't really an attack on WarKirby. It's just an annoyance to see it mentioned absolutely everywhere, repeated over and over again, in every single thread. "FF has this" and "FF has that" - which is part of the problem itself.

Everyone that frequents the forums know of Fall Further. It's got it's entire own subforum. And those that doesn't visit the forum won't, obviously, see the posts in all the threads regardless. ;)

Could't have said it better myself. "modmod that left the shores of hoarding numerous additions and headed into ocean of MOAR! long time ago"; Gotta remember that one. :p

Events with images would be awesome, especially events who require a serious decision. It would be cool to have an option who quadruples the number of events... :)

Also, images of destruction would appear when AC rises. And when it hits 100, we get a whole cinematic with Apocalypse music...
