What is a Divine Intervention Game?
A DI is a game that has actual human beings roleplaying as deities, helping shape up the game world and the storyline. Only one human player is selected, and every 50 (or so) turns, the player posts their progress (as if telling a fantasy tale, with pictures and whatnot) and their save file. At this point the deities pick up the save and edit it to their heart's content (with certain limitations), giving the player quests, rewarding them or smiting them with their (un)holy might and enhancing the storyline. The player then takes the edited save file and resumes playing. This back and forth savefile juggling and storytelling action continues until the player meets their demise or achieves a victory.

We're considering starting a second DI game (the first one kind of... died), and we'd like opinions on which civ would be more fun to watch, play and manipulate next. Vote for it, but bear in mind that we're leaning more towards civs with no ties to any specific deity/angel.

While we're at it, we could also (re)clarify who's going to be which angel in this thread. (Re)Post your angel and I'll update accordingly.

We were arguing, and a few different opinions popped up, so a poll it is. This doesn't mean we have to follow through with whatever the result of the poll is, it should ultimately be up to the player (PaulusIII) to decide on the civ.

Well, since I have trouble choosing a civ anyway, nice to help out ;)

Here you go:

A divine intervention is a game where one player has a group of watchers. These watchers come in every 25-50 turns and alter someting somehow, giving the player quests to help him out with the obscene difficulty these things can be at. The gods themselevs roleplay interactions with one another and are often at odds with one another in certain cases.

And this is where it all started:

I might as well play as Arawn. Playing in character as him means not actually doing anything.

Mammon again
