This thread is a moderator approved index of ideas & suggestions from this sub-forum that I will be attempting to compile over the next while. This thread is replacing the other index to be more clear, concise and better categorised. I'll figure out the categories as I go. Note: I'll only be including inactive threads that had 10 or more replies, or threads viewed as having substantial value. Threads with 50 or more posts will be bolded for convenience. Also, I'll only be indexing back to the beginning of October 2005, i.e. when Civ 4 was released. Any threads started before that are only here because they have been dug up since this thread was started. Once I have indexed everything, I'll go back through it and categorise everything a bit better, as you can see that some categories are currently too big, and some too small.
Please, DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD. If you would like to offer any suggestions as to how to layout the thread, or have any questions on the thread, or think that I have incorrectly categorised something, please tell me via PM. Posting will just make this thread as cluttered and messy as the old one.
Also, remember that this thread is not for the discussion of the ideas & suggestions mentioned in the index. The point of the index is for you to be able to further discuss those ideas & suggestions in their respective threads. We don't want this thread to become messy like the old one.
I would also like to suggest that, to make future indexing make more sense, and be more clear, when you make a new thread, clearly outline in the title what the thread is about. Whilst titles like 'a new idea' might sound all well and good when you are posting your new thread, it makes it hard for anyone to know what it is about, particularly if they are just browsing the index. Also, it makes it harder to categorise, but that's just a minor detail. Just a suggestion, however.
Thanks.
Indexing has begun. It will be in reverse chronological order, by start date.
The threads will be divided up into categories, and then posted in this format:
[ U R L ]Thread title[ / U R L ], Thread Starter, Thread Start Date (Using the Australian dating system of DD/MM/YY)
Times used to determine start date are in AEST zone.
2/4/10: I'm going away for six months, so if you're wondering why the index isn't being updated, it's because I'm not here.
10/10/10: Starting indexing again.
10/10/10- an hour later: So I was busy indexing, and some weird stuff happened, resulting in the loss of post 9, and all in it. I plan to start a new index for post Civ 5 release threads, so I think this one will be best left as is.
18/10/10- I'll be starting a new index thread for post Civ5 release threads.
