Archer combat animation issue

Attached screenshot shows a combat between two custom archer units. Both are different vanilla archer models using the same standard archer animations copy/pasted into a custom folder. The left ones (egyptians and player controlled) use light brown arrows with white tips; the right ones (gauls and AI controlled) use dark brown arrows with gold tips.
Unfortunately the combat animation shows light brown arrows with IRON(?!?) tips floating between the opposite factions, instead of light/white arrows going from egyptians to gauls and dark/gold arrows going in the opposite direction.
How can I fix this?

please ask your question next time in the main Creation & Customization section (this section is only for new units).

to your question: the flying arrow is no part of the model, it´s an effect. To get a colour matching arrow you have to make a duplicate of the arrow effect and exchange the texture there. As next you must change the arrow effect from the ranged strike animation (edit the text key of the ranged strike kf - a small how to is in the tutorial section) with your new one. Not sure if it´s worth the work

Following your tips I solved my issue !!! :D

I agree with you that for a single unit it isn't worth the work, but in a mod with dozens of ancient throwing units it's a little valuable feature, and this is my case. Now that I've understood the effect mechanics, I'll apply it to bowman, javelineer, mounted archer, and so on.

A question ambrox62: is that a retextured Egyptian archer you're using for the gauls?
 
Both are close to retextured vanilla archer model.

The gaul got UV and head-vertex modifications to fit better a long-hair archer, while egyptian got only UV modifications to fit the texture

I know that egyptians got a firaxis ethnic archer, but I made a new texture in order to use a standard archer model, preserving the firaxis one for UU use.

Both textures are unfinished because they lack the string holding the back arrow quiver. These units are part of a huge set of stone-age units that I'll release soon.
