This is Sevo's Mastery Victory converted to BtS 3.17

Let's discuss what improvements could still be done for this excellent modcomp.

Quick ideas:
- Diplomacy scoring is lacking, even thou BtS introduced the Apostolic Palace, thus some importance should be added to this
- Apollo Program scoring needs refinement
- Handling of (possible) other victory projects besides the Apollo Program are missing
- ...
 
Nice to see this as a comp! :)

On diplomacy: Maybe you should get points (5?) for each election you win? I haven't had time to look at the code yet, but does any of the scoring scale with game size?
 
@Ninja2: I didn't check if it scales with game size. 5 points for an election seems too much, but I admittedly didn't play that much civ novadays (too much modding;))

@JEELEN: yes, it's a shame he left, he did so many quality mods

About this Mastery Victory, I always felt (even in previous) civ games that the only real victory is somehow the sum of everything you do. Now I know that it could be interesting to see a civ beeline for a cultural win, or squeeze out a Spaceship just before the others, but personally I always played with a kind of 'Mastery Victory' mindset. Now with this implementation it's finally coded;) We should just refine it.
 
Why is this here? It's obviously a modcomp, and not a specific coding question or issue that belongs in this forum. And why hasn't a moderator moved it?

For Mastery, what about indicating level building of cities by a percentage ?

100 % = all cities 100 % builded...

0 % = the inverse

I call a city 100 % builded a city will absolutely all possible normal buildings, excluding small and world wonders and their special normal buildings added in cities...

100 % = 200 in score ? You are alone to decide this :goodjob:

I agree with you on this one, it should be in the SDK area, has nothing to do with modcomps!:rolleyes:
 
Few Questions:
Is this compatible with 3.19?
Is there any resources anywhere to make it more of a 'snap-in' mod? XML files for victory screens, etc? I'd like to use this, but I'm afraid I don't have a ton of time for full modding.
