Welcome to MaA.
The point of this NES is that all of you control a assasin/mercenary, or whatever.
Spoiler Basic Rules :
Missions: you are only allowed to do one mission per day. If you are a member of a organisation, you can only do your organisation's missions. Some missions such as Sub-Quests does not give ability points or Misison Points (see Abilities). A freelancer does not get as much payment as a member, and does not receive any protection or other stuff. If you want to claim a mission, post that you do so. After that, do any preparations you want, and then post that you start the mission. Do NOT PM, post. After that you are recomended to write a mission story/tactics, that you either post or send to me. If you send it to me, other people can try to find out what your story and tactics is by Info Gathering (see Sabotage and IG). If you write a story, please end it at a act of matter, like a combat or persuasion, i will then decide what happens from there. Missions such as Epic Missions or Promotion Missions are Manual, wich means the player will write a story that the mod (me) answers with another story, wich the player then answers with yet another story etc etc, until the mission is complete.
Abilities: After each mission, you are awarded a ability point. A ability point allows you to either learn or upgrade a skill from the starting skills. Sometimes i will add ability points as rewards, so i recommend that you check your char sheet daily. Special abilities like Aenea's Forbidden Fire Magic, can be obtained at special occasions. After completing a mission, you will also be awarded with mission points. After ten mission points you will be awarded a advanced ability point, wich allows you to pick a ability from the advanced ability list. After this, you will be allowed to upgrade a advanced ability each five mission points you aquire, and learn a new one after each ten. Any kind of ability points can also be awarded at special occasions. Some abilities require books, or more than one ability points, or even a combination of advanced and normal ability points, so think about what you do before you do it ;)
Items: Items are... well... items. They do whatever i tell you they do, they cost whatever i tell you they cost, and you get them whenever i tell you you get them.
Pets: Pets can be obtained in the same way as items, even though that requires them to be in egg form. There is no limit to pets, but if you treat them badly, they are very likely to desert you.
Sabotage and Info Gathering: If you want to sabotage someone's mission, you tell me in a PM. You have to tell me you want to sabotage a mission before it is started, else its too late. When a mission that are being sabotaged enters Missions in Progress i will mark it as SABOTAGED. Then everyone knows its going to be sabotaged, but not by who. Aswell as for missions, you have to write a sabotage tactic/story. Now, its abit hard to write a tactic to sabotage a mission you dont know how will be done, so here Info Gathering (IG) comes into the pecture. If you want to gather information about someone elses mission tactics, or perhaps something else, you give me a PM. I will then decide how much you uncover, if the victim discoveres you, if you discover him discovering you, etc. Tp make this work, you are supposed to PM ANY personal plots or other stuff to me, so people can IG them. If you want to protect something from IG or saboage, PM it. You can only IG or Sabotage ONCE PER DAY!
Stealing: It is also allowed to steal from other players, it works just as IG and Sabotage. If you have stolen a item, that item will not appear in your inventory unless you want it too, since that is a hidden item.

Charecter Creation:

Race: Such as elf, orc, human etc. Custom races are allowed if you have a good story for this race, and some good racial traits.
Specialisation: Yaknowthedeal
Background: Why your person is who he is, and why he does what he does. If you dont want the other players to see this gimme a personal message.
Abilities: List of Abilities lower down. Custom abilities is allowed, but i have to accept them first. You can choose one ability that you completely decide yourself, end then you can choose a ability that is chooseable as a free ability for your class. After each mission, you can either upgrade a existing ability or choose a new one. After about 10 missions you will be able to choose from the Advanced Abilities list.
Class: The same as with abilities. Even though custom classes are no longer allowed to be made.
Deity: Make something up =D Required for Cultist and Sworn only.
Organisation: Choose one from the list lower down.
Weapon: choose any simple weapon. If you want to use a advanced weapon then you need a good cause, like it has something to do with your char background.
Inventory: here you keep all your crap.



Classes:
Spoiler :
Only ONE class is allowed.
Sworn: A person that has sold his soul to a god/demon. A sworn has great strength in melee combat, but is forced to do whatever his god/demon master says. I control the god's/demon's =)
Assasin: A assasin typically uses bows, daggers and poison to kill his enemies. The obvius stealth type.
Cultist: Pretty much like the sworn, but uses magic instead. The Cultist's magic depends on its god. Gods are made up by the player. =)
Mage: A mage is a person that uses magic. Most mages specialize in either Fire Magic, Water Magic, Ice Magic, Void Magic, Wind Magic, Earth Magic or Necromancy.
Fighter: Well... its a fighter.
Druid: A sworn, but nature specialized.
Abyssalker: A middle thing between cultist and assasin, a ability marked as a cultist ability is also a abysswalker ability.
Eldritch Knight: An eldritch knight is a warrior who has both studied arcane and martial arts to a decree, most tend to favour one or the other but some, usually a long-lived species such as elves, are equally skilled at both. A ability marked as a warrior ablity also counts as a eldritch knght ability, exept for white magic, wich also counts as a eldritch knight ability.
Rogue: A jack-of-all trades. Knows basic magic along side his archery abilities. A rogue has the same ability options as a assasin, but is allowed to learn one magic ability.


Prestige Classes
Spoiler :
Dragonslayer: a person that knows how to slay dragons and drain their power. Most Dragonslayers either are melee fighters or become it since most drained power becomes raw physical strength.
Chronomancer: A person that can use magic to weave time. Basic abilities for a chonomancer is to become extremely fast, or make opponents extremely slow.
Tracker: A hardcore ranger. A tracker uses a bow, and can track ANYTHIHNG. A tracker also kicks ass at pet training.
Bladesworn: A Bladesworn is a person that fights with blades, bigtime. A Bladesworn can move extremly fast and are amazingly agile. Some Bladesworn become so dedicated to this "Art" that they can fight with three blades only using two hands. Its something with having one blade flying in the air while using the two others, and then constantly changing. Its hard to explain...
Ghoststalker: A Ghoststalker comes, goes and kills, and noone, even the killed person, will know what happened until its too late. Exept for that, the only thing known about them is that they use dark arts.


Starting Abilities:

Poison Brewing: Allows you to bew poison. Recepies for any crafting ability are either found or learned as a ability. Assasin Ability (means that assasins can choose this as free starting ability)
Tough Skin: Gives you tough skin. =) Fighter Ability
Void Magic: Allows you to cast void magic, wich mainly is summoning magic. Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Fire Magic: = Damage Dealing. Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Ice Magic: ice magic is good for pvp. Oops sorry! Ice magic allows you to stun, freeze and perhaps even kill people. (A dagger to finish off the job is adviced) Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Water Magic: Water magic allows you to swim extremely fast, breathe underwater and drown people by creating water in their lungs. Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Earth Magic: allows you to control plants, carve stones without using your hands and later on even cause earthquakes. Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Necromancy: Raising skeletons, draining souls, such stuff. Mage/Cultist Ability. ONLY chooseable by Mage and Cultist.
Dual Wield: Allows you to wield two weapons. Fighter/Sworm Ability.
Weapon Specialication: allows you to become really good with a specefic weapon.
Nimble Fingers: *cough* Lockpicking *cough*. Assasin Ability.
Far Jump: Allows you to jump about 4 meters. Only choseable by Assasin.
Battering: Allows you to use a shield as a battering ram. Can be pretty usefull to break enemy blockades. Requires a shield. Only Choseable by Fighter.
Riding: Allows you to use basic mounts.
Aura of Power: Allows you to create a little forcefield like thing around you. While youre in this forcefield, you are incredibly strong and fast. The force field doesent move, it stays where you placed it. It is about 3 meters in width all around you, so its kinda like a sphere. Only choseable by Sworn or Cultist.
Iron Will: Allows you to set all your focus on acheiving one thing, such as killing a specific person. Until this is done, you have a 50% chance to ignore any melee attack. Only choseable by Fighter or Sworn.
Arrow Crafting: Allows you to craft arrows. Recepies for any crafting ability are either found or learned as a ability.
Arrow Crafting: Black Arrows Lv1: Allows you to craft black arrows lv1. Black Arrows lv1 penetrates leather armor armor. Only choseable by Assasin.
Poison Brewing: Sleep Poison Lv1: Allows you to brew sleep poison lv1. Sleep Poison lv1 makes the imbiber sleep for 20 minutes.
Nature Magic: Controlling animals, such stuff. Druid Ability.
Dark Arts: Dark Arts are magic that specialises in negative side of magic. Although it is evil cultists' and mages' signature weapon, this can also be used for good. This art may include creation of "Cubits" a crystal of negative energy that can be used to do variety of things such as using it to directly damage a foe, using it to spy on enemies, or to drain others of power, although one task can be given to each Cubits at creation. Some long-lived species which had studies the Dark Arts for hundreds of years can even render themselves invisible, or teleport a short distance using it. Mage, Cultist and Abysswalker ability. ONLY choseably by abysswalkers, cultists and mages.
White Magic:White magic is magic that draws on the energies of the Celestial Planes. Surprisingly this comes rather naturally to celestials and to a lesser extent half celestials. It is what many would describe as 'holy' magic meaning it is the opposite of necromancy and other black arts. It can be used to give hope to those who have none and courage to those who are conquered by fear. It can heal wounds to both the mind and body and can restore life to the dead but not in the twisted way of necromancy. It can bring light in darkness and it can slay the evil creatures of this world, fiends and their elk. Its uses continue on in a similar trend. Eldritch Knight ability. Only Choseable by Cultist, Mage and Eldritch Knight.
Rune making: This is the ability to craft runes, which store power and spells. These must be made ahead of time as they take time to make and store the energy needed to fuel the spell. They may be used multiple times, but can burn out. Rune making requires the lore of another element.
Nimble Body: Allows you to jump higher and evade more stylish =P

Any crafting ability comes with a free recepie. Make up one yurself, but use your brain: its a friggin lv 1 item!

Tome of Knowledge: A Tome of Knowledge can be found during missions. It allows you to learn a ability that you in normal circumstances couldnt learn.


Advanced Abilities:

Metamorphosis: Basis, Trained, Adcanced, Master, Legendary. (each upgrade and learning the ability requires a special book.)
Metamorphosis: Basis: contains two metamorphs: Shadow and Winged Being.
Shadow: In this form you can merge with shadows, and is not affected by physical damage (even though you cant walk through doors and stuff...) Only necromancy and dark arts is allowed while in shadow form, you cant even use a basic weapon. You cannot pick things up while in shadow form.
Winged Being: This metamorph simply adds wings to your back..
Firestorm: When the sky rains fire, you know its time to take cover - Sha'Tuqh Saying
Allows the fire mage to make fire rain from the sky. At level 1 it is only a small area, but as this ability levels up it becomes a bigger and bigger area. It is fire raining down, not meteors. Requires level 5 fire magic.
Shadowstep: Sublty rogues are overpowered! - Pvp Shaman in World of Warcraft
Shadowstep allows you to instantly move behind a person. Requires level 3 dark arts or Shadowstep rank in The Black Spectres.
Call of the Ents: When natures in danger, nature acts. - Nikuh, The Avenger
Allows you to merge with a tree, entering it like with a mecha combat suit in scifi. Inside this tree you count as a ent in all ways exept for the mind. Requires Nature Magic level 3.
Inner Growth: A seed outside can inprison, a seed inside can kill. - Nikuh commenting a druid practicing the Root Prison technique.
10% Chance of success. Places a seed inside target, and then makes this seed grow. Kills the target painfully if success.
Second Chance: When your goal is truly rigtheous, the gods tend to give you a second chance.
If you die, the gods will send your soul back into your body. Has 3 days cooldown. Requires Light Magic 4
Sunburst: ...And the heavens opened up, and brought justice to the spawn of darkness. - Quote from the Celestical Tablet
Opens the heavens, and calls forth the sun, to burn your enemies. Has a 80% chance to destroy undead targets. Requires 3 light magic.
Poison Brewing: Snake in a Bottle You set the snakes, loose in my stomach - Voltaire (The Singer)
This poison is like a snake in liquid form. When someone drinks it it materialises and begins biting the imbiber from within. The type of snake is of your choice.
Rune of Revenge They strike, And strike, and strike, And then they die. - Swampmen Proverb
Allows you to create the rune of revenge. The rune of revenge has a quite entertaining effect: When somebody hits you, the rune waits til theyre done, and then blasts them with twice the power they hit you with. Also works if you die from their attacks. Only works on melee attacks, and there is a limit.
Gale: Force push! oh wait... - Dragonson
Allows you to create a orb of wind that you can then send towards your enemies in the form of a gale. Requires 3 Dark Arts
Silvertongue: "Theese are not the droids you are looking for" - Qui-Gon jin.
Using Dark Arts, one gains the ability to bend others to your will with enough power. If you get proficent with it, however, you can persuade others to do your bidding while giving them the illusion of choice. Requires 3 dark arts.

The Black Spectres: They are a basic group of assasins. If youre a assasin looking for fast gold, theyre the ones for you. At war with The Seekers of Wisdom.
Order of the Five: A group of cultist. They mainly pay good for killing someone they dont like.
Nokhran Peacekeepers: The "police" of Nokhran. Unfreindly to The Black Spectres
The Black Dragonscale Clan: They do whatever they want, and noone dares to stop this mighty gang of black dragonspawns. But theyre kinda lazy... so they pay people to do work for them.
Marshblood Avengers: A group of swampmen (looks abit like lizardmen from warhammer) that mainly tries to infiltrate and destroy the human society.
Seekers of Wisdom: They want to know as much as possible about everything, so they pay people to retreive books for them. At War with The Black Spectres
The Preservers: A group of druids that think that every new discovery that leads people longer away from nauture is evil. Death to Machinery!


Just a thing thats good to know: IMPROVISE.
If you know nature magic, you can do more than just control animals! make up something! even though... you cant create treaents with a lv1 ability =P

Hello Miss! Im a assasin sent to kill you! Mission completed by Hadel
Mission Objective: This ones pretty simple: Kill a old lady known as Muknia.
Payment: 1000 Krinar (1300 if member)
Known Danger Factors: There has been 47 assasination attempts on Muknia, but no assasin have ever returned.
Report: This mission outcome were kind of a shock for hadel: As he tried to kill Muknia, she burst into green flames, and wings grew from her back. She was a voidfiend. After a long battle hadel tried to stab her with his snakeblade, with very strange effects. As soon as the black edge tuched her, she screamed and vanished. The black spectre's were not pleased with this, but the client were, and he wanted to give hadel the payment plus a little bonus.

Mission Objective: A guard known as Nak is confiscating all religious artefacts related to the five! take him down and bring us our precious treasures!

Mission Objective: Aeneas, since you are one of out best assasins, and for some reason pretty favored by the Black Spectre, we thought that it was time that you raise in the ranks. This mission is your final test before being promoted. Your goal: Assasinate Froogle, He is a swampman that has called the other swampmen's wrath upon him by telling evryone about swampmen secrets. Beware though, He's a metamorhper.

Daily Report: Nikania's Diary: A Tour to the Demonic Planes
Today started out pretty well... we had some signups from various people, along with a half celestical! i never thought id see one! A elf that calls himself sjiveru signed up too, and i think that person that i think is a dryad is coming with us too... even though he were yelling alot about us being crazy at first... ohwell... i might not look that sane with my hair like this either. Since i found that strange book... the Tome of Arachia, everything has been so strange! one day im a libarian, the next day i am one of the most powerfull mages in town! When they said reading is good for the mind i never thought it was that litterally... ohwell, have to go comb my hair and find my staff.

Nikania's Diary: Day two.
Were going in there today. I opened a portal to the demonic planes, and right now theire taking all our stuff through it. This book is really amazing, and it keeps adding new chapters to itself! No wonder alot of people is trying to steal it... even though its abit of a problem with all theese incinerated corpses. I never imagined killing could be so easy... Well... off we go!

Back in the demonic planes. This place is so facinating, i could spend a whole day just by looking at the strange fungus! Okay... the book said i have to find a demon-hunter that lives in theese planes. Knakik was his name... well, the others are waiting! better go out there and get moving.

Nikania's Diary: Day three.
Weve been walking alot, and i dont really know where were going, but the book just like... inplants... some kind of compass in my mind. Its abit strange to know exactly where to go... A group of Bloodwood Ents attacked us today. It was abit harsh to the dryad, but i kinda understand him. They looked just like normal trees, and everyone were so happy to see something that looked... abit freindly. If i hadnt noticed something were wrong wed all be dead. It was a tough battle, and i had to finish it off with a blast of frost energy, but that also did the job. Even though most of the crew is still shivering... I really need to learn to control this power better.

Nikania's Diary: Day four.
Today were a tough day. We took a rest-day in a valley full of those fungus, and that were to be the stupidest we did so far. But well... the druid really needed that, even though we healed his leg it still were a serious blow he got. Anyways, we were attacked by a group of demons that seemed to be fleeing from something. I think we'l find Knakik soon. Something rather strange happened when the darkelf tried out his magehunter dagger out on one of the demons, all of a sudden the demon cried out in pain and... turned... almost human? It was really strange, all of a sudden it looked like a dark elf and begun to attack the other demons, and when it had eliminated them it acted like some kind of servant to Hadel. Before the transformed demon killed the others, Hadel tried out the dagger on one of them, but nothing happened this time. What a strange day...

Nikania's Diary: Day Five
After a long journy, we finally found Knakik. He greeted me as if he had known me for years, wich he perhaps has, since he's a Chronomancer. Ive opened a portal so that the crew can get straight home to Nokhran, but before they went through, Knakik wanted to talk to them in private. So now i guess il just wait till theyre finished. Even though i wonder what theyre talking about...

They control a primordial understanding of Nature magic as it runs in their blood, and they are unnaturally fast and stealthy, however they are very brittle. Background: Myrdynn was born from a Dryad mother and Elven father. one of the few of his kind he appears as a tall elf with greenish skin and hair. for some reson his hair always sports loose twigs and leaves. He prefers to sit back and watch the world go by, every now and then snapping back to reality to lay the smackdown on those who anger him, or his goddess. Why his father, one of the eladrin race called the bralani, chose his mother, a human pauper girl, to bear him a child he does not know. It is a harsh life living in the slums of Waterdeep but he had inherited his father's stocky build and robust constitution and this left him in better steed than the countless number of other lost souls who call the slums their home. When he was twenty he managed to persuade some adventurers to take him with them on their next journey and he left Waterdeep with his companions in high spirits never to return. Later that night the party were ambushed by an extremely powerful necromancer they had set out to hunt down and they were slain. Luckily for Azrael his father was also hunting the same necromancer and he stepped in to save his son though this earned him no favours with his people when he had to inform them the necromancer had escaped. Azrael continued wandering and has ended up in the city of Nokhran far to the south. He is now twenty five and eager to make his mark on the world.
Appearance: He has silver hair typical of the bralani and the pale skin typical of a Northerner however he has jet black eyes with no whites and no distinguishable pupil. Otherwise he appears as a muscular, stocky human.

As an aid to this goal I shall give you some of my knowledge." As the voice stopped he felt knowledge surge through him, he knew the runes and how to use them, and he felt power and needed more. "If you serve you will receive more." He replied to the void, "I will serve you, master." That was the end of Tarinth as a man, when he left that temple he was so much more.

Race: Wild Human (Barbaric, intermarrages with orcs and sentinant crap leads to pale/greenish skin, fur instead of air, and a light touch)
Specialisation: Lighting Reflexes (He can sense motion, sound, sights, smells and tastes much better than a human, and close/surpassing that of an elf. He is able to sense how loud he is and, in the future, learn to be more quiet.)
Background: His mother was a Gratan, a witch of potions and spells. His father was a wild man, wounded in battle against Yurnian Fighters. As she tended his body her heart was rekindled with love at his streamlined form for survival, his heart loving yet strong. When his father woke he helped her defend herself from villages who misused potions, and yet, when he left, he still felt love for her.

Years past and he was wounded again, his fighting days to keep his clan alive over. He started his family life, and married the Gratan witch, dying at a ripe old age. When he died, the witch moarned, and found she was bearning his son. Caring as is he was his father, she slowly died.

When he woke he was given a hug and a kiss, and was sent off to the world: Terni was darker than most wild men, and had hair instead of pungent fur, but the musk used to camuflague their scent in hunting many geneartions ago stayed, his eyes, with the ability to focus on a few inches of images, stayed. He survived until he was adopted by a young hunting party.

Growing up was a wave of hunts and learning: Wild Men grow up quicker to free women up for gathering and men up for war and the hunt. When he reached of age he killed a wild bull as a sign of his manhood. Leaving his village, he suddenly felt a shadow in his heart: He was born from a human women, yet looked like a Wild man. He desided to fight for money, and live a life to figure out who he really is.

well... i need all of you fixing your char sheets to having one class only, when youve done that, il either start when were at five players, or tomorrow =) oh and... please dont call me Mr. =P
Edit: if you know anyone that would be interested playing, it would be nice. Even though... i might just start when you fixed your sheets =P

Edit 2: Youre only allowed to have two start skills seon ;) read the abilities part on the char creation part in the first post. And... if youre planning a dual-wield assasin, why not just be an assasin? ;) And if i were you, id take long jump after the first mission. Even though duel wield says Fighter/Sworn ability, it doesent mean its only them that can choose it, it just means its a free ability for them. Oh and... i added Inventory to char sheet.

White magic is magic that draws on the energies of the Celestial Planes. Surprisingly this comes rather naturally to celestials and to a lesser extent half celestials. It is what many would describe as 'holy' magic meaning it is the opposite of necromancy and other black arts. It can be used to give hope to those who have none and courage to those who are conquered by fear. It can heal wounds to both the mind and body and can restore life to the dead but not in the twisted way of necromancy. It can bring light in darkness and it can slay the evil creatures of this world, fiends and their elk. Its uses continue on in a similar trend.

He suddenly felt compelled to walk on the platform, he couldn't stop himself. As he approached the center of the platform the symbols along the platform began to light, he felt some sort of power rise through him. Suddenly he heard a voice rise from the void and then into his head, "Hear me mortal and fear me. My time of return is near. You shall aid me and be rewarded for it. As an aid to this goal I shall give you some of my knowledge." As the voice stopped he felt knowledge surge through him, he knew the runes and how to use them, and he felt power and needed more. "If you serve you will receive more." He replied to the void, "I will serve you, master." That was the end of Tarinth as a man, when he left that temple he was so much more.

Rune making: This is the ability to craft runes, which store power and spells. These must be made ahead of time as they take time to make and store the energy needed to fuel the spell. They may be used multiple times, but can burn out. Also note that my guy can't cast normal magic, the earth magic is only for quicker rune making. I hope this is alright.
 
Thanks T_F. I know not everyone can be halves but I wanted to be something unique and I had no time to make up my own race and choosing a pure demon or angelic character would be way overpowered. So I went for the middle option. Cookie to anyone who gets the references in my character's description.

No, it's fine. I was just noticing that 3 of 4 people who signed up before me were some kind of half-breed. It was just kinda weird.

Thanatos is the latin name for Death, and i believe Azrael is also an angel of death. not too sure what Samael means. im assuming it is also Death related.

Heh, I wrote up a really interesting character, full stats and background and...my computer crashed. I think Fate has decided I'm in enough NESes. I'll be lurking though
