I have created a tiny mod which will allow a Wind Trap unit in Dune. It provides fresh water. I have done this by cloning the Oasis feature; you can find more details in this thread. When I use WB to put this feature down in a vanilla game, it is fine.
When I use WB to put this feature down in the actual Dune Wars mod, it is there one turn, and vanishes the next turn. There is nothing I can think of that would cause this; except that the Dune Wars mod is built from variants of several sdk mods including revolutions and woc. I am also asking the Dune Wars SDK team to investigate, because it is likely to be an unexpected interaction of two mods.
Has anybody ever seen perfectly valid features vanish before? Any leads?
The attachment has four files. Two of them go into a tiny standalone mod you can run with vanilla to see it is working. Search for the new WINDTRAP feature and its artdef. The other two can be added into the Dune Wars mod, version 1.0, patch 5. The main mod is at this link. Patch 5 is at this link. Install both then install the attachment.
You may notice that TerrainBooleans is empty for this new feature. That is fine; I have tried adding valid terrain values here and running again, but it does not make any difference.
