NES V – After Western Europe’s Fall.

Now I will use my secret method once again for the battles, then you can write your own stories about the battles as long as you remember who actually won. Anyway some of you might remember how to play in my NESes. Oh and I want this to be a a more story NES then a wargame.

Oh and at first there will be 5 years a day, but later it will slow down.

1495-1500: Spaniards colonize Caribbean. Vasco de Game stops at Cape of Good Hope. Portuguese first discover Brazil.

1500-1505: Meteor falls begin in Western and Central Europe (and Morocco); even as they cause small damage to the terrain, several cities were heavily damaged, including London and Paris. This causes a new Dark Age, as people, thinking that it’s the end of the world, hopped to correct their fates by killing the evil rich. It leads to anarchy in Western Europe, and only few hundreds of men from Iberian Peninsula escaped to West Indies, Brazil or to sail out after Vasco. Northern Germany evacuates to Scandinavia, forcing Swedes and Norwegians to except them, creating a a new country of New Germany, after the locals lost at Sund Coast.

1505-1510: Russians, emboldened by the fall of “Latin Heresy” push out the Mongols of Russian lands, conquer Lithuania, which was also in anarchy because of Poland’s fall into anarchy, and sign a union with Serb and Bulgar tribes, creating Slavic Empire. Arabs rebel against Ottoman Turks, and quickly push them back into Anatolia. Tokugawa builds up the Japanese fleet, and finally begins Pacific expansion, claiming that “Japan has got Manifest Destiny to spread Buddhism among the southern Barbarians!”

1515-1520: Slavic Empire besieges Constantinople, which was well defended, and ally with the local Greek population, which soon defeated the small Turkish garrison. Byzantine Empire is restored. Mongols burn much of India down and then overrun Persia, establishing Iraqi Khanate. Japan conquers Taiwan.

1520-1525: Ottoman Empire collapses, and Byzantine Empire is restored in Anatolia and southern Balkans. Mongols prepare for the invasion of newly rebuilt Arabah Caliphate. Japan conquers Philippines.

1525-1530: Henri Elzeque becomes the first regent of Brazil. Van der Korv leads the Dutch survivors to Iceland, creating the Dual Kingdom of Iceland, with Van der Korv and Olaf Storkanung as the kings. Former Prime Minister Daniels Justin becomes the new King of Britain, and begins to rebuild. He also orders martial law in what's left of Britain, to prevent looting. Hernan Cortez declares himself King Quezcoatl, and introduces European technologies and horses to Aztecs. Generacl Chris takes over China and begins to modernize the arm. He already heard about the meteor falls, and plans to make China a worldwide superpower, ending the isolationist period. Hernando Guadelupe creates the republic in West Indies and offers pact of division of Americas with "Quetzcoatl". Cortez agrees, and ordersthe colonization towards Panama Istmus. Floridan tribes are overrun by West Indies and give up to them. Brazil begins to colonize northward.

1530-1535: More Dutch and Belgian refugeees arrive to Iceland. Icelandians begin colonization of Greenland. Chinese annex Vietnam. Panama and Yucatan are overrun by Aztecs. Construction of Aztec Fleet begins. Amazon tribe is defeated by Brazil.

1535-1540: Icelandian Expedition finds Ireland ravaged by meteors and evacuates as much refugees as possible. After a brief battle with Meziso tribe, Aztecs reach and even cross Rio Grande. British retake southwestern and Northern England. English Garisson in Belfast is restored. A crisis begisn to rise between Dual Kingdom of Iceland and Kingdom of England over Ireland. Japan signs a pact with China. Vietnamese resistance to Chiense comes to an end. Brazilians establish contact with Aztecs. Guinea is conquered by Braizl. Port Amazon is built by Henri Elzeque's orders.

1540-1545: Brazil joins American Pact. Chinese overrun Machuria. Iroquois Confederation is formed. Irish are divided between two sides: in the east, Loyalists are too conservative to try to break away from English rule. In the west, anti-British groups are ready to join almost anyone in order to get rid of British rule. Brazil discovers Incas and massive draft program begins in order to combat this new threat.

1545-1550: Hiawatha's son, Running Bear, coems to power in Iroquois Confederation. Dekanawidh, Chief of Huron, secedes from Iroquois, taking his warriors with him, greatly damaging Iroquois military's size. West Ireland is overruned by Dual Kingdom. Aztec navy builds 11 new ships. Columbia is overrun by Aztecs. Massive army and navy build-up in Iceland. Iceland also aquires Newfoundwland, but Indians of Northern Quebec repel the attemp to settle in Labrador. English land in North Scotland, while land fores invade from the south, taking over Glasgow and Edinburgh, quickly forcing Scotland to join Britain. Iroquois scientific isolation is over. Cayuga and Cherokee ally and attack Iroquois forces. Iroquois prepare the attack on Cayuga and Cherokee. A small Iroquois expedition is sent to north. Brazil establishes so-called Inca Corridor.

1550-1555: Aztecs launch several Ground and Maritime raids on Inca territory. Aztec colonies in Sotuh California are established. West Indies begin expansion aklong the eastern coast of North America. Also, West Indies begin colonization of West Africa. Much of Incan army including Sapa Inca slaughtered by brazillian forces at Cavalry Valley.

Refugees finally settled down in the new city of Lisbon Nova - the capital of Brazil. Henri Elzeque was declared Regent of Brazil. It was a new beginning for Portguese...

The dutch Van der Korv led a few hundred survivors from Amsterdam oversees to Iceland and settled there. The local populace acepted the refugees and together they formed the Dual Kingdom of Iceland. 2 Kings were selected, Van der Korv to representate the dutch and Olaf Storkonung to represent the natives of Iceland. The dutch had a medium sized navy with them as most of the trade kogs and ships from Holland also escaped with the dutch. The army was small and made up of natives led by dutch officers.

In Britain, Prime Minister Justin Daniels emerged from the cave where he had sought refuge.

My God... he thought as he looked around devastated London upon arriving back there.

"Highness." One aide spoke to him as he entered London. Seeing Justin's look, he explained: "The Royal Family didn't make it. I am afraid that as you are the last surviving member of the Royal Family, however far removed, you are the new ruler."

No! Justin screamed inside his head.

On the outside he merely nodded so as not to panic the crowd of survivors who had been drawn to such a richly dressed crowd.

"Begin to rebuild, strengthen our defences and have the army install martial law for now, to prevent looting." Justin ordered immediately.

Now, for a title, he thought, avoiding any thought of the dead for now, knowing it would only drag him into grief.

First Prince. Perfect, he thought. I cannot be King being so far removed, so that title will be much better.

He looked around at the city once more. This was now his.

"That will change. I am ordering our entire military to be revamped in the next 2 years. Search up and down the planet for the latest in weapon technology."

the huddled wispering masses told each other of a disturbance in the seemingly omnipotent spaniards attitude. They were gaining respect, they were allowed to vote, they were being paid for their services. It was amazing.

They spoke of creating a new Empire, far more than the Carib tribe could ever have offered. They produced gunpowder and loaded the ships as they set their eyes on Florida.

The new Prime Minister Hernando Guadelupe smiled, the spanish had abandoned them, he was in control now, free to build his own empire, it was that thought that consoled him when he thought of the showers that had slaughtered his countrimen, hopefully among them his wife's murderer, the worthless, faceless preist of the Inquisition. She had been a Jew.

The spaniard disembarked from his ship and gazed at the Aztec coast. smiling, strong men with their leather armor grabbed him and shouted at him in their native tounge, the troops he had with them never let their confusion show but he was not restrained by discipline and spoke a single word he hoped they would undertand:

I seek a Pact with you my freind, together we can conqure the Americas under the Aztec and Carib Flags, unite their potential with European technology and take that which is rightfully ours.

Word came to Quetzacoatl that soldiers from the Caribbean islands had arrived and they carried a message by their leader Hernando Guadelupe for a pact.These islands had gained indepence from the Spanish during the Meteor falls.Luckily he had early enough heard of the Meteors and decided to stay with the Aztecs.He ordered one of his messengers to tell them he agreed to a pact to keep the Spanish out.Possibly he could one day even return to Spain-as an Aztec colony.Furthermore he ordered to sacrifice 500 slaves and to send settlers and soldiers south till the point the Spanish called "Isthmus of Panama".

I was thinking the same thing but didn't state it because i was afraid you would think me extreme.

The New Ships were beautiful, the Carribean flair had lead to a faster, more manuverable vessle than any fleet in the vaunted Spanish Fleet had ever been, they sacrificed Weaponry at this altar but still had enough to defend themselves, and even to crush the Floridians at sea.when they foolishly decided an attack there.

The trrops had landed, conquest had begun.

Did Henri Elzeque ever had a personal life. Probably, no. He was a birn politician, and day, and night he was thinking about how to improve the situation. And now, he gave a new order. 1 Caravel with 200 soldiers willl explore northward, while 100 soldiers and 100 settlers o nthe group will take the land. In case of resistance, the soldiers will strike from the ships and from the ground, and force the resisters to join the population of Brazil.

More and more people, both dutch and belgian, began coming to Iceland. All were survivors of Gods punishment. Van der Korv and Olaf Storkonung decided that new space was needed, the small cities on Iceland were allready crowded with refugees and natives. New settlements were begun on Iceland but both Kings knew that the space wouldn´t do. They agreed to send a few hundred settlers aboard ships to a big Island to the west called Grönland in the native language - Greenland in english.
