Hello fans,
(if needed move this thread in the right place)
Despite I'm new to this forum, I've been a Civ fan from the start. After all those years I am a little disappointed from the fact that my own civilization was never implemented in the original game.
As you can see for yourself in the links below our civilization as a separate state has been around from more than 1300 years, not mentioning the great proto-bulgarians before that.

Through the ages we experienced the power that our Empires gave to us. "The Empire played a major role in European politics and was one of the strongest military powers of its time."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Bulgarian_Empire
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Bulgarian_Empire
We survived 500 years of Ottoman domination before liberating in 1878. The pact with Nazis Germany was a mistake but saved our nation from a crushing defeat by the Germans. On the other hand: "However the king refused to hand over the Bulgarian Jews to the Nazis, saving some 50,000 lives."...

Considering our long history I appeal for a Bulgarian civilization alongside the others in the next incredible Civilization!
Civ leaders: Tzar Ivan Asen II and Tzar Simeon the great
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Asen_II_of_Bulgaria - "Ivan Asen II is considered, with good reason, one of the most important and successful rulers of Bulgaria" (Bulgaria on 3 seas)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simeon_I_of_Bulgaria - Cultural Golden Age under Tzar Simeon the Great
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Age_(metaphor) - Bulgaria - We have two Cultural Golden ages listed here !
As a tip for civ specs:
"The Bulgars brought new construction and battle techniques to Europe. The first Bulgarian cities were made of large monolith stones unlike the Roman brick-build fortresses."
"The core of the Bulgarian army was the heavy cavalry, which consisted of 12,000–30,000[1] heavily armed riders. At its height in the 9th and 10th centuries, it was one of the most formidable military forces in Europe and was feared by its enemies. There are several documented cases of Byzantine commanders abandoning an invasion because of a reluctance to confront the Bulgarian army on its home territory."

There is ALOT MORE that I can write and link but the decision is yours!
I'm open for discussion...
