Erratic Poster
A huge device built to project an intense resonance beam. By linking up several beams, the combined ray can tunnel into subspace, travelling faster-than-light, acting as an instantaneous transmitter beacon that can be received several thousand lightyears away.
The center orb is slightly animated, it turns and hovers up and down; polygon count: 699 (slightly heavier than most of my models, but this is - after all - a flashy endgame building that makes you win!
Heavily inspired by the original subspace generator from Alien Crossfire - though there's only a single side shot of the device - so I didn't had a lot to start with. Modelled for the Planetfall mod for Civ IV.
