From what i can tell there are 4 major NES series now.

Return to Roots NES (in all due modesty)
JNES
UKNES
and SNES

Just in your opinion which is the best of the best?

No hard feelings if you dont vote for Return to Roots NES.
 
i chosed r to r, becuase i don't need to worry sent orders and talk with others so muchm and there are almost no rules, but i join very late to say, snes was good, and uknes was veru good, i think everyone just waited to the new day to start...
jnes i played onec, for one turn, so i cant say...

Nope, uknemesis made the never-ending story, Das made the first NES :D.

That's why I created RTOR, becasuse the originals were the story telling ones by Das.

Go look back aways, it's locked now, but it's still up for display :D.
 
My favourite was UKNES 2 or 3 (can't remember which) with the war over denmark and the crushing of warlord matt twice, also the fact it was my first had nothing to do with it

I voted Return to Roots NES because that is the only one that I get without it becoming a chore

BTW since we are(at least me) are going back where did Troq go to?
 
lol SKILORD, the UKNES series has returned to the basic and simple ones that I loved so much.

The last three(4, 5 and 6) were rubbish, and I'd prefer to forget they were ever UKNESs lol.

Anyway, I liked all the NESs on here!

I like some of the uknesses and most of das nesses the most. Some others I like:
Skilords last 2 and his AD Infinitum
 
Everyone who has the courage to mod a NES earns a big,big cheer.
With the exception of UKNES 4,5,6 and UberNES 1 (just too complicated) I liked every NES,but a little more than the others I liked the 'real' UKNESses.

This thread quieted down for a couple of days and i was sure you disagreed with me and was angry.

Personally i am ashamed of every SNES before UBERNES 2. But No SNESA's except for the Third World War one.
 
Of course if you look back there are MANY failed NESs. In fact until RTOR 2, i never had a successful NES. As i have argued before on other threads, some NESs have "died" because they were too complicated. Personally I am glad Toasty created the original RTOR NES. I think that because of that, other NESs may evolve into NESs more like the original NES.

After all, in my opinion, some of the NESs became too much like a board game and it seemed that people had forgotton the story bit of Never Ending Story. I admit now that it is good that we have rules now preventing people reporting always glorious victories for their nation, and that it is easier to control.

LONG LIVE NESs!
 
i would have voted for NES V if it was there but it isnt so i voted for Return to Roots NES.

A - I still think Uknemsis made the world's first NES, while I made the world's second NES. Anyway, the epic of world's struggle against French Imperialism and Zulu nuclear Tyrant inspired me to create my NES.
B - I think that ALL (okay, maybe almost all) NESes are great in their own way. I am currently in Jason's latest NES, and I enjoy it because that it's a real wargame in nature, and also has an interesting combat system. I moderate and play in NES V - After Western Europe's Fall just in order to see how my another Alternative History an idea turns out.

I... Well, I could go on, but you understand what I mean, right? There is not BEST NES series. The best NES series are all this forum's NESes joined together!
 
French Imperialism? Hey, i was trying to defend myself from every other nation in the world in that NES. You left me with nothing but 3 or four cities.
 
i would have voted for Ukness cause of 2(i never playedit), 3(was good) and hopefully 7 ;). but 4,5 and 6 were such a discrase that i decided the whole seriese didnt deserve a vote ( :lol: ). so i voted for JNES, cause i REALY liked the civil war one, and the amount of work Jason put into it was herendous(sp?)
 
i think this poll should have been done by game not by series cause every series has better ones and horrible ones.
maybe one of those polls where you can select more then one (with checkboxes)
