From the guy who brought you the CFC's Choice Beyond the Sword Civilizations thread.

Here we shall settle - systematically and democratically in the manner of civilized peoples - the great question: the nations/empires/civilizations - historical or otherwise - you - the Civ Fanatics - most want to have included in next edition of the strategy game gifted to us by Lord Sid Meier. May I please have the brass band now?

So, fellow Civvers, you shall each get thirty votes. I know, that's a lot, but I consider possible expansions as well. Whether you choose to use all your votes is up to you.

There is a point system, so please rank your choices in order of decreasing preference. The scores shall be awarded as follows: the top five choices on your list will get 5 points each, the next five will each get 2 point, and the last 20 will get 1 point each. At the end, the votes of everyone will be counted and the points added up, and the CFC's Choice civilizations ranked in order.

The 20 top choices will be the civilizations CFC judged deserve a place in a hypothetical Vanilla Civ5. Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!

Please be specific (eg, not "some SE Asian Civilization" but name specific nations or cultures, or say "South East Asian civilization" if you want one civ to cover the region)

You can change your votes anytime before the dateline, which, by the way, is 1800 hours, September 27, 2009, Australian Eastern Standard Time (here's a handy converter)

Voting has commenced!
