This thread is for MtB's use only. Its primary purpose is to be a repository for my CIV V Ideas.zip file which, at the moment, contains 169 player submitted suggestions and ideas on how Civilization V could be made better.

Hopefully Firaxis (or even Sid) will hear of it and drop by and get a copy of the file.

Please do not submit ideas to this thread, but instead direct them to one of the other threads. ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY REMARKS HERE EITHER. My last thread was in the process of being set up when it got trampled over :mad::mad:. The reason for this is that when one person makes a suggestion there is someone else who will feel bound to post an agreement or disagreement or query on how rules should be implemented and the thread will soon get bogged down by needless user commentary. If you have a suggestion to make please direct it to either this thread “http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=251440” or Camikaze's The Civ Ideas & Suggestions Index “http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=316857”

The attached file covers the following categories:

• Warfare & Military
• Maps & Terrain
• Culture & Borders
• RPG & Online
• Cities & Citizens
• Uniques, Great People & Wonders
• Commerce, Economics & Trade
• Civilizations & Leaders
• Technology
• Land Use & Resources
• Religion
• Broad Game Concepts
• Diplomacy & Espionage
• Notes, Speculation & Other

ASK SID - June, 2009
Question: I've been a huge fan of the Civilization series since a very young age and I've also always been a computer gamer at heart. The recent addition to the Civ series on the Xbox 360 and PS3 is a nice thing to see, but will the PC line of civ be continuing?
Sid: We have a very large and loyal Civ PC community and have always said that we’ll keep delivering new Civ games to the community if they keep asking for them. So all you Civ PC fans out there need to make some noise!

Question: I am a huge fan of Civ 4. When can we expect the release of Civ 5?

Sid: Well, we’ve just wrapped up the Civ IV series with the release of Civ IV: Colonization, which seems to be a hit. And we recently released Civ IV: Complete for anyone who is interested in getting Civ IV, the two expansions and Colonization all on one disc (and DRM free). We have always said that if the fans want more Civ we’ll keep making more. We’ll take your email as another vote for more Civ and let you know if there is any news to report.

Also on the Firaxis website, community index, it states: “Welcome to the "Community" section of the Firaxis Website! We want to establish a two-way dialog with our fans - the name of the game here is "interaction."” There is even a “contact us” page where you can leave comments about their games and, more importantly - make suggestions.

So, there you have it fellow civvers, if you want there to be a Civilization V, all you have to do is make some noise! And in the interactive spirit of two-way dialog let us hope those at Firaxis and 2k obtain a copy of this document and implements many of those fine ideas as suggested by you the player.

In order to bring this document to the attention of Firaxis please visit http://www.firaxis.com/company/gamefeedback.php and tell them about it and make mention they can get a copy here at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=8478524.
