Dedication page

This subject came up in the Civ3 C&C threads about creating a page dedicated to the deceased members of the CFC community.

That because just recently Spacer_One passed away from a heart-attack.

As you can see from the later posts in the thread, it's support is growing.

I second this.... Spacer_One was a great help to the Civ III modding community as well as an all-around decent human being. He will be sorely missed

OK, and honestly, who else do we know has died?

I mean no disrespect, but I cannot remember ever reading a thread about people passing away aside from Space_One.

I can remember a thread dedicated to a CFC member who died. It was an April's fools prank...

We would need very good verification. If that can be done I would support it.

There have been more threads of CFC-members that have died (no jokes).
But I don't think it's respectful to them for me to dig those threads up.

I'm not quite sure creating a dedication page would be my choice.

I have absolutely no objection to a Memorial thread for someone who has passed away. But I think that a "Dedication Page" might be more than necessary.

With over 1,000 visits to Spacer_one's Mourning I would expect that most would like to see this Memorial.

That seems like a particularly tasteless prank.

My own opinion is that such a thread would be unnecessary. Simply create threads for people after they've passed. Besides, how often would the forum actually know when someone has died? I imagine it's actually a pretty rare event to find out these things.
