Would it be possible to improve/expand diplomatic options?

Like for example, lets say Mao and Stalin are raging against Churchill so Mao opens up the diplomacy screen and instead of bringing Stalin to go to war against Churchill, there's a category of like "Joint War" which forces both Mao and Stalin to declare war on Churchill. And if Stalin doesn't wants he could, but probably wouldn't (since he too hates Churchill), ask for technologies or gold from Mao.
Or like Catherine wants to attack Shaka but he's wary that Pericles, who's impartial to both, could be bribed by Shaka to become a war ally, so beforehand Catherine signs a non-aggression pact with Pericles. And then Pericles takes advantage of that by declaring war on Ghandi etc.
Would make war more interesting/dynamic/realistic imo

I dunno, in 2.8 Beta I am seeing piles of AIs simultaneously wardeccing the same other AI (and in one case, me.) I'm not sure if that's planned or just coincidental.

I think it's because the AIs are making tons of defensive pacts in 2.8beta -- way more than I've seen them make in past versions of RoM.

For example, when I wanted to war against my neighbors, I didn't realize he's signed a defensive pact with 3 other AIs! Needless to say, I had to cut my war short and try to make peace before the other AIs' stacks of death reached my borders.

Hahaha. Ya, I've done that more often then I care to admit

I'm playing the most recent 2.7 one and I haven't noticed this in the couple games I've played. It's mostly been A vs B and C vs D.

An expansion of diplomatic options would be awesome, since it's the only field that RoM barely touched. But from all that I already heard from programmers and modders, most of it is hardcoded in Civ IV. :(

I have many times asked for a revamp in the Open Borders agreement. Other types of vassals could be added too, with different levels of independence and influence by the greater nation.

So, a question for you modders: which concepts of the diplomacy could be improved?
