Airships must be patched

In multiplayer as it is everyone plays on blazing speed. That requires some fast clicking in the later ages. Whey the heck can't you select stack of airships to bombard stuff?? It impossible to use them therefore , coz you always run out of time.
 
I often use my airships to fly recon missions from my coastal cities. I wish there were some way to automate that in single-player.
 
Auto recon would be a godsend. There is a mod that has features like that (along with auto-airlift for workers and waypoint units conditionally), but I forget its name.

You CAN select 4 airships and attack with them at once though. I usually keep ahead of a blazing timer even in single player.
 
When I choose all land units on a tile that also contains air units that haven't moved, the game selects the air units instead.
But, yes, it is annoying.
 
You can CTRL click one of the Airships (or Fighters for that matter) and it works. Thanks Emperorfool!

Yes, this bug has made it through double digit patches, along with a lot of other selection issues.
 
Really bugs me how if I select more than one worker in a city, everything becomes auto-deselected. Been there I don't know how long, but firaxis coders have never been too bright on fixing things to aid the human player.

It's bad enough that even my super-duper state-of-the-art comptuer LAGGGGGS way down just on trying to select a few units in a large stack. I have never seen such piss-poor GUI design in any game that I can remember.
