JNES VII
Thanks be to Uknemeses and Das, for creation of the NES, AnarchyRulz and Uknemeses again for help in creation of this JNES.
A Greek NES
When one falls from grace, you must land with the conviction that you are right, that you are the chosen ones.
But the people in Athens no longer believe this as their great city has fallen from the grace of the Gods into a manmade Hell.
Sparta, the old enemy, moves closer and closer, ready to pounce on the first sign of weakness. Other nations now have navies to match the Athenian one, which has been slowly falling into disrepair over generations. Worse, they are using these to bully the once-great city.
Another once-great city, Constantinople, now faces the threat of Turks and Persians. Can its mighty walls withstand another siege? Its people are beginning to doubt that, as navies move in to block the food supply and destroy the navy that has kept this great city alive for so long.
Its only hope is that the Turks and Persians kill each other first, which they seem likely to do. But in these wars of Gods, men and barbaric acts, who is the real winner?
Some say the devil, some say the Kings.
Others say there is no difference...

Rules
This is a new step backwards in board game NESs, and a new step forward in a new style of NES. It is not any less hard, or less easier then the normal JNESs, but gives more reality to the game and more control over your nation.
Populations
Each city, save your capital, produces 20,000 men. Men can be used to make farms, roads, work in mines, or serve in the military. You may break up the 20,000 men into 1,000 intervals, but no less. If you leave your men in a city idle, they will be begin to act as a militia, come together to form a rebellion, or populate to make more.
Military and Resources
You start out with the ability to train Archers, Clubmen and Spearmen, and build Triremes, Galleys and War Galleys. Each have a better stat for either defense, attack, or both (listed below). To train is free, but you must buy the stats as well. To gain recourses for the units, you must build a Lumberyard for wood units and Iron Mines for iron units. If a unit is both, it will need both. Each recourse collector costs 15c, but you do start out with Lumberyard in your capital. You may only have ONE resource collector per city you own. Each recourse collector can only support 10,000 men that need that resource.
So for example, you start with one lumberyard in your capital, and will be able to recruit 10,000 out of (for example) 20,000 men available for military service. You may then use those men to build roads or farms.
Navy NEW!!
Navy consists of 3 ships. For tech level one, it will be Triremes, Galleys, and War Galleys. Triremes are good for offense, Galleys for defense, and War Galleys for both (coasting extra 5c). It takes 500 men to man one ship, but you must make 2 at a time. So if you want to make the least you can out of War Galleys, you would have to buy 2, costing you 10c and 1,000 men.
Roads and Farms
Roads are used to allow quicker movement for larger numbers of military groups, and to enable trade with a neighbor city. To build one road from one city to another it costs 5c and 5,000 men. The Military can move through 2 roads in each turn.
Farms are used to allow more population within that city. Each farm can sponsor up to 5,000 more men, depending on how the city can produce. It costs 5,000 men to make a farm, and 10c.
Movement
You may usually move to one city per turn. Some cities, however, take 2 turns, which is represented with a black line. But, in order to move from one city to the next, you must move through all the cities in between. For example, to get from Demetrias to Beroia, you must go through Larissa. You can move one sea to another, and seas are split into sections: North Aegean, Aegean, South Aegean, Black Sea, Propontas, North Med., South Med.
Combat
Combat will be done on a program designed by Nemesis. It will take into account your citys bonuses, the attitude of your people (war weariness, patriotic, etc), the amount of military you are attacking with and what type of soldiers/ships you are using.
Credits
Credits play a small part in this NES. They are made by how good your economy is, meaning how many men you put into your economy, the size of your nation, and the military of your country, and the attitude of your people.
Credits may only be used for purchasing resource collectors and building farms, and trading. Your economy will be considered by me, and is the only thing that will be chosen at random by me, the mod.
Technology
To upgrade to each new technology era, you must pay 30c and have 10,000 men to upgrade (will be available the turn after you research to use for something else).
What you can do in one turn (NEW!)
You can expand your military (recruit new soldiers or build more navy, how ever much is your choice), Expand your influence (not including taking a city), Attack a city (however many is your choice, but you cant do anything else that turn but attack), and/or build structures. Within one turn, you may move as many people as you like and do all of the above. Basically, you can do ANYTHING, if you have the resources for it.
Government
Government determines how strong your armies attack with, how strong your economy is, how happy your people are, and how hard your people work (meaning a free resource collector may pop in, or free road). There are 5 governments:
Despotism (Empire, and is great for your military only.),
Monarchy (Kingdom, and is ok for economy and military),
Republic (Nation, and is good for economy, and good for your people),
Fascist (Empire, great for military, terrible for economy),
Democracy (Nation, great for your people, the way the feel, economy, and terrible for military)
** You can always change your government with loss of one turns pay
Happiness of your people
To raise the happiness of your people and have them present you with presents, more population, and a stronger military you can build monuments. You can build 3 different monuments, only 3 per city.

To take a NP city is a hard battle, depending on the city. Most will take 2 turns worth of full attack, though some will fall in 1 turn depending on how your tactics and story is!
It would be nice if you would make stories for this NES, for when you attack or defend, or to when you give orders and such. You can think of this game like a RTOR NES series add-on. It is not hard to send orders, and if you want you can say it on the thread too! But orders need to be PMed to me so I make sure not to miss them

Persia will continually make raids on cities. Nothing to powerful to completely ruin cities. And Random events may happen as well.
