Why is everyone annoyed or furious with me?

I have never broken a treaty, traded with many of these countries, been in military alliances, even paid tribute to some.. They may be polite during the alliance but as soon as it ends they are furious again.

Am I so unlikable or what?
 
Things like right of passage and trading help the AI attitude, unless you are about to go into a UN Vote I would not worry to much, establishing embassies also helps

There is a guide on AI attitude, but Im not sure where
 
You will take an attitude hit if you raise AI cities. But sometimes that's better than trying to hold them. Also, if you plop down a town that pushes in the AI cultural border, you will get an attitude hit.
 
Walking into they're territory makes them more unhappy. Also, the agression level can effect their attitude. If you make demands that negatively effects attitude also.

I always hold onto cities but I do push their cultural border. That makes sense.

Depends on several things like the skill level and the aggression setting and cultural group and the individual tribes. Some tribes start off Annoyed, most start off Cautious.
 
Do you have an embassy with the AIs? This is in my opinion the most important factor for keeping them happy after MAs, RoPs etc have ended. Especially on higher levels (Emperor+) everyone will be annoyed with you as long as you don't have an embassy.

(I somehow feel the "-2" that Bamspeedy attributes to the embassy, does not really reflect the importance of it?! :confused: )

Most of the time they've started off Polite for me, and sometimes I think even Gracious. The cause? I usually play with least aggressive AI, while TheOverseer714 has a more aggressive setting. I doubt you'd see anything but 'annoyed' or worse with most aggressive AIs.

Depends on the aggression level, how much you've traded them luxes, techs, resources, gpt, and lump sums. Pretty sure I've had a few games where I haven't had embassies, and polite tribes in the middle ages, but with least aggressive AI and some tech trading also. Still, I agree that embassies make a significant difference.
