Special thanks to JiimBV for the name, I liked the suggestion so much I'm using it. Anyways, I'm AOS9001, if you know of me, I wouldn't be surprised. For I am the creator of the (not at all) award-winning 3000 Years of Rome: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=351554
So, what shenanigans am I up to this time? Being generally incompetent and loosing my homeland? Orchestrating the collapse of my own empire? Fighting to restore the aforementioned empire that I could have easily kept intact to make for a much more interesting game?
Nay, I'm just not going to collapse. At all. Not even once. And go for the UHV. Of the Spanish. And end sentences. Randomly. Lots of games I see are micromanaged to perfection, all for the win. As you may know, I do it differently: I play for fun and to see what happens, most of the time, the victories don't matter, I just want to start world wars and screw up history. And with that, I proudly present: From Medieval to Modern: The Spanish Empire! Special thanks to JiimBV for the name, in case you didn't catch it the first time. Let's rock.
Here we are, turn 3, all cities settled. I was inspired by other setups I've seen, and played this one before. It's really good for production, because I have almost all the tiles covered with only 3 cities. I highly recommend it.
Time goes by, nothing happens. Time gets bored and decides to throw some misfortune at me.
Stupid Portugal. You might be going: Hey, AOS, WTH? Three pictures in and it's already been like 500 years? Well, dear reader, nothing happened of interest before this.
Plague strikes, for it is many wickeds (yea, more than one!). I never really had a problem with plague as Rome, not that I remember, at least.
I think this goes here, I don't know, I uploaded in the wrong order. But cool copper, bro.
Ugh, Louis, you little creeper, you like like Gollum with a wig. If you backstab me, I'm calling in the nukes from my last game.
You see, there was a war with Portugal, because I can backstab now (since I'm a female leader this game, and double standards is one of the things AOS9001 deals best in). But basically, I took Faro from him, and cooped him up in Lisboa and the island place. I won't need to worry about him for a while yet, I don't think.
Yea, New World in the first post! What, what?! You know how it goes, so pack up my pipe because this case is closed!
My mad plaugerism (whatever it's spelled as, Google Chrome doesn't recognize words unless they're like one letter off) skills force Montezuma to be pwnt by me.
So, there you have it, I'm already invading America. Will Spain conquest the New World? Will ill-timed plague wipe out the armies and cripple the war effort? Will the frakkin' Inca workboat ruin everything as usual? Find out next time, on From Medieval to Modern: The Spanish Empire!
