Moshe Dayan
Da General
After the utter, catastrophic fail that was my attempt to control the Mediterranean as the Phoenicians (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=364785), I've decided to try something totally different. As the Portugese, I'm going to try and recreate to the best of my abilities, the entire historical Portuguese Empire based upon the following map:
(I will also be going for East Timor).
And if I get the historical victory, great, but if not maybe I could try for a conquest victory? Who knows?
Anyway, if I try for the latter, I'm gonna need a lot of help from you guys
Also, I used the 3000 BC autoplay start, just to see what sort of awesomeness would ensue. Let's find out:
Part 1: Libson
As always, Libson is founded on the spot, and send my Tireme to explore the vast stretches of Europe's Atlantic coast:
Isabella refuses to open borders, so I grovel and beg, and eventually convert to Catholicism:
After I give her Divine Right, she finally starts to see things my way. I can now send my second settler to set up our first colony, in historic Ceuta:
Zara Yaqob is a pretty cool guy. Eh trades calendar and doesn't afraid of anythign;
Ceuta is up and running. Now all we have to worry about is that pesky Spanish culture, but we'll soon fix that
:
Um, no:
And here goes our next colony, in Mina. Things are looking good. Next up: Angola!
So far so good. Let's see how this turns out...
