I like to turn off time victory and play long games. Even when that's not the case, two major things ruin the fun for me late game.
The first is infinite inflation, anyone who plays long games runs into this, and most are disappointed. While inflation has no limit, you run out of new technology to research that allows you to make more money. This mod limits the effect of inflation. Care was taken not to vary from the early and mid game inflation rates. See graphs below for a comparison of the improved (and limited) inflation rates.
The second thing is global warming. It will eventually ruin all your cities. There is no way to reverse the damaged caused by global warming. There is no transforming technology or other means of fixing a damaged plot. This is entirely unfun. This mod adds an option (enabled by default) to disable global warming.
I plan on adding a Better LGBT mod to this post that includes Advanced Combat Odds and Better Bts AI. It's going to take a little time to combine the two as they both overlap changes a bit.
