How to switch weapons with Nifscope for Dummy's

Welcome to my tutorial on how to change weapons for unit to unit. this tutorial is for those who don't know how to change a units weapons. this tutorial will be made as simple as possible so that anybody can understand it.
Things that you need
1.Nifscope
2.Glimp or any free .dds viewer

Step 1 Deleting the weapon
First we find a model that we will use for the new unit we open the nif of the file we want to edit for this tutorial we will make a Charlemagne Heavy Swordsman have a spear instead of a sword now load up Nifscope and load the heavy Swordsman now select the sword and right click on it like this Tutorial pic.jpg
after you delete the sword the rest is easy:).
 
Step 2 Adding a new weapon to the unit
after we delete the sword we need to add the spear so now click on the unit that has the spear that we want to use for this tutorial we will use the spear of the Charlemagne Heavy Spearman so like before you right click on this
add then you go back to the heavy swordsman and click on this Tutorial pic 2.jpg

now save it and you are done:D.
 
so caring about nodes, rotation and coordinates is unnecessary?
you just click on the model and the pasted weapon will appear in the units hands no matter what weapon or unit?

except archers those are more complicated. if you downloaded a unit use the animation that is included. some times you do have to edit a unit a bit but not to much if you do what the tutorial tell you to do it should work fine as for as nodes go.
 
okay great .. guess I have always done sth wrong .. I always had to adjust the coordinates and rotation. Will give feedback soon ;) Thanks

Great tutorial but I have one problem I want to convert my javelin thrower to a Archer but keep my unit base model do I follow the same steps as above or is there a specific way to do it?

I have tried to copy the bow to my model but I keep getting a error.
