New Gameswelt.ch Preview with video preview

Thanks for that. ^^

Lots of new information there.

Interesting to see the costs of getting influence with city states. 800 gold for 55 influence. They were also interested in getting a great engineer.

The article and video are in German, but they have some nice new game footage. I noticed the following new tidbits of info.

Mechanized infantery - Movement 4, Strength 50
Armoury - +15 XP for all land units, must have barracks
Guides Missile - Movement 2, Range 8, Ranged Strength 70
Modern Armour - Movement 4, Strength 80, requires 1 Aluminium, Receives a penalty when attacking cities.
Jet Fighter - Movement 2 ??, Range 10, Ranged Strength 70, requires 1 Aluminium
Rocket Artillery - Movement 3, Strength 10, Ranged Attack 40
Stable - +25% production when making mounted units, must have horses nearby
Circus - +3 Happiness (empire wide, cost 150, maintenance 4)

Also shows some of the Advanced Options in the video at 0:50.

Always War and Always Peace are in.
One City Challenge is also back. And there's also an option named "Complete Kills" probably for those who don't like the new combat rules.

They show two promotions: range (+1 range) and supply (+2 heal per turn).
The mobile SAM is also shown briefly: Move 4, range 2, strength 40, intercepts air units, requires 1 aluminium

Pretty sure that exist in civ4 and I'm pretty sure it meant that you had to kill off a civilization completely, down to the last unit, in order for it to be removed for the game.

Don't exactly remember the options name though, so I may be wrong.

I also saw the tooltip for the library in a city screen earlier in the vid.

+1 :science: per 2 citizens, 1 maintenance
it also shows science specialist produce 3 :science: like in Civ4

They show two promotions: range (+1 range) and supply (+2 heal per turn).

The descriptionfor supply also said "unit may heal outside of friendly territory". Looks like they usually don't heal in foreign lands without the right promotions.

6 of the 8 difficulty levels are:

Settler
Chieftan
Warlord
Prince
King
Emporer

That stables description sounds interesting.

"Only works with horses nearby"

I read on AriochIV's website (much appreciated work, BTW) that there were 4 game paces, although we can suspect 8 on this video (the "speedo-meter" (don't know how to call it) at the bottom of the game settings screen has 8 levels).
I highly doubt there are 8 games paces, but I'd love it if it was the case.
