RPC Supergenius
Welcome folks. I am back with one more played out Civilization IV game before I embark on the materpiece (hopefully masterpiece) game called CiV!
This is no RPC but a simple game to pass the time and keep my playing/story telling game going. Of course that won't stop me from making an entertaining read. True to my reputation, I will play out the entire game to it's glorious or bitter end (see my failed last Diety game).
Segment 1: Local Exploration and Settlement
Segment 2: Horses and Arabs
Segment 3: Wonders and Iron
Segment 4: The Second Wonder Question and UNFRIENDS
Segment 5: The Barbarric and Incan Wars
Segment 6: The Liberalism Quest
Segment 7: Military knowledge
Segment 8: The Arabian Conquest
Segment 9: War Against the Portugese Alliance
Segment 10: Cruising into Space
Onto setting!
Immortal Difficulty (yes I can play and actually win at this level!)
EPIC speed (because I just can't give up my war-mongering possibilities)
Big/Small standard sized map (because that is just the most unpredictable for me)
All random continent and island size/shape
I went after a random leader and got
Well I cannot complain here! Financial and Spiritual with a strong early UU in the Skirmisher and a useful UB in the mint.
Of course as we know the map is more important than the leader.
The Random CIV Generator mocks old Mad Scientist, giving me one of the strongest leaders (hey, those surveys out there rank him fairly high) yet an abysmal coastal start with NO resources visible and here we are starting with the wheel and mining (Bah!).
So we got a pair of floodplains, a warrior due south, and a tranquel lake to ponder our opening movements!
I say move the warrior south, settle in place, and shoot for agriculture. My biggest question is do we go Bronze Working second and hope for some copper or just play it save and go hunting/archery. My guess is the first build is the ever popular worker.
