Brother thread too this thread

I had a epic fail thread going on and i thought: "If if so many people have epic fails, how about wins?"

And thats how this thread was born. Post your biggest wins down here, and click the link above too post your fails! :goodjob:

My biggest win was a Deity game without all the settings that could make it easier.
No Marathon/Epic but normal speed, small map with 4 AIs, no reloads, no combos like Wall + raging barbs, no tech trading.
Just won this 1x, the rest been asswipings =p Super hard

My most epic wins have all been Earth18. About 2/3 of the Civs there can be used to achieve victories that are just about impossible in a random game. Most Epic was Rome on prince. Eliminate or vassalize half the world with good land before really getting started.

Being the creator of the thead. I should have one too...

Playing the game normally with a almost alone start (The Dutch were with me too, but i killed them :mwaha:), and when i found the other civs, finding that i lead on the tech tree BY A AGE (Heck, 2 ages for a small time)

 Were you on settler difficulty?

Or were the backwards civilizations Germany or America (they always do poorly).

In [c3c], my elite cavalry fought a yellow-lined veteran TOW Infantry and won. The next turn my Elite Modern Armour killed an Enkidu Warrior and gave me a GG. This was on the Future Era start.

Collapsing in RFC as Germany (this often happens) and taking back Europe from an army of 3 Knights, 2 C-Bow-Men and 1 Longbow.

The biggest WIN I can think off the bat would be playing America on the Earth18. Taking Montezuma on alone when he has a better starting position as a poor leader isn't easy. Then I cottage'd all of North America, tech'd up, and this is my favorite part: I made contacted with the old world...and they were ALL THE SAME RELIGION. A few turns later, the entire world declared on me; but I rolfstomped them with a massive stack of Armor-raze-move-on.

Played a prince lakes map when I was still a noob(not that I am that good now but I win most games on emperor) and after a while noticed that I had founded every religion and gotten all the wonders except stonehedge which I didn't care about since I was creative.

I'll never forget a game I played some time ago on monarch/continents. I don't remember which civilization I played as, but I took out two of my neighbours quite early on with a successful chariot rush + some swords. Right after this I settled two choking points blocking off the others. I had at his point the HUGHEST amount of land available to settle.

One of the civs that was blocked never got anywhere in the game, and behind my other choking point was eventually two more civs who got into a war with each other that kept them behind me in tech.

I eventually declared on them and had no trouble at all beating them down. I won by domination. Thats was my biggest WIN ever :)

Ok, this was more like a win story, sorry for that.

Edit:typos

I just finished a game on a Small Terra map as France. There was 4 other civs. Unfortunately Shaka and Ragnar were in it along with Hannibal. The other, Asoka was killed pretty early by the combined efforts of Shaka and Ragnar. Unfortunately, all of them became friendly with each other after the war and not-so friendly with me. I aggressively expanded towards the last remaining tiles and began to fortify my cities. I eventually reached the Industrial followed by the Modern Era with my neighbors still stuck in the Renaissance. I then noticed Hannibal(who was on my border) was sending troops to his border. Next turn, he Declares war. But his stacks were poorly organized. With Curssaiers(or whatever) being the mainline unit for him, my Rifleman had no problem picking off them. His Trebuchets were falling behind his main stacks so I laughed as my Rifleman slaughtered them.

Eventually his unit stacks were all but gone. So after a breakthrough on Assembly Line, I poured over the border taking city after city. But Ragnar, (Hannibal's neighbor) was stacking units along the border. They cross into Carthage territory and line up against one of Hannibal's conquered cities. Next turn he Declares war. But I was prepared. Wave after wave of his units came, but all of them were annihilated in less than 3 turns. I rally my forces and head into the Viking homeland. It was a long war, but I came out on top. I must say It was VERY satisfing watching Ragnar's last city burn.

The biggest WIN I can think off the bat would be playing America on the Earth18. Taking Montezuma on alone when he has a better starting position as a poor leader isn't easy. Very satisfying. Actually, America on Earth18 doesn't have that much worse starting position than Monty. It's just that the AI Roosy is such a peacenick that Monty always stomps him. I think America is tougher than the average other Civs on Earth 18. Congrats on the win.

Yes it does. Have you seen Monty's start? 2 Corn, a jillion plains hills... move 2N and it's 3 wet corn, which is paradise.

Surrounding lands are pretty awful, compared to Roose's, so I suppose it's a trade-off.

One time I got bored and turned the difficulty all the way down to Settler and played Rome on an Earth map. I took out most of west Europe with warriors, and by the time I had Fuedalism, I had civs lining up to beg to be my vassal. I enjoyed picking off Toku's archers with ICBM's and Modern Armors.

This ain't my win, but my friend's. We were on a MP game, he got Archer Uprising really early. They went right by his nation, and wiped me out. Win for him, fail for me.

Convincing Zara Yaqob to DoW on Huayna and nuke him, when I was trying to stop said HC from winning a culture victory, so that my Spaceship had time to take off (even though ZY was Friendly, I wasn't taking any risks. Considering I had Wang as vassal, ZY may have been able to DoW on ME.) Unfortunately this also turned into an epic fail as well, as global warming soon hit. Guess, just who did it hit? Me, me, me, me, and me. Posting this in the Fail thread too.

i think that rushing with an horde of riflemen and cannons in 1100 on monarch was quite fun :D

Here is one of my most epic and intense wins from the Nobels Club Churchill.
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=417553&page=4

This was a crazy game, i had to deal with three AI's going for culture, and another going for space.
I also remember my first Monarch game which was NC Inca (IICR the first game in the seccond bullpen thread), rushed three civs with his UU, went for a space win, and got Dowed and nuked by Bismark 1 turn before winning. I still won tho.:D

My biggest NC loss was Freddy when i lost a game to Monty who got a UN win. I had a very intense nuclear war with him, so at least i went down with a bang!:D, and i lost MS roosevelt to a stupid AP win by issy.
