Here is a screenshot from my latest game, i was playing as France and all the players had reached the industrial age then this came.

ps- the indian army had the rifleman as their best unit.

no it really was´nt. I just wonder why my Infantry´s could´nt make the indian armies cry.

I wonder how the AI is set, after all. Fearing explorers, yeah right.
It's a much more powerful unit than most people think, but not enough to be feared that way.

My explorers have 3 movement instead of 2 maybe that could be the sollution.

3 movement because it walks 3 tiles or 3 movement because it has 3 feet?
maybe that the reason everybody fears your explorer.

Well it has 3 movement and all terrain as road so it can move 9.

I'd downgrade the explorer to mov1 and no pillage capability. You can guess what I COULD do with the explorers if I decided to exploit some game mechanics.
