Ok, so I have to say I've been playing Civ III this whole time. Yes, I've really enjoyed it so I never saw the need to upgrade.

Well, I'd like to go ahead an purchase the Civ IV Complete package, but I'm having some compatibility issues with the demo on Windows 7 for some reason. I always try the demo out before buying the full thing. Is there a patch or something I need to use?

Thanks in advance.

Here's my specs just in case:

Studio XPS 16 Notebook, Windows 7 Pro
Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
RAM 6GB, DDR3, 1333MHz 2 Dimm
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 - 1GB
500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive

I don't know about the demo, but Civ 4 complete is compatible with W7, 32 or 64 bit.

You'll need to tell us what the problem actually is. What the error messages are, which game it is giving them etc. Plus you directx diag information would be useful too. Otherwise we're guessing in the dark.

Thanks. I got this popup message about the game not being compatible. Then I was kicked out periodically while playing. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled from a different site and it seems to be working fine now. Testing out the Final Frontier demo also.

If the complete version is windows 7 compatible, I'm totally switching over. Thanks for the comments.

I run it quite happily on W7 x64. You will need to install by right clicking on the setup file and choosing run as administrator. You will also get a message about a voice capture device that you will have to disable in the .ini file and may get a message that your computer is below the min specs although it isn't which you will also need to disable in the .ini file.
